Considering they sold the rights to the Network, released a good chunk, released a large chunk of backstage folk and are now starting to release bigger names than the first round, I think that is clear. Nick Khan also just bought an $8M mansion in LA, which is decidedly not Connecticut. Who's buying the company, NBC Universal? Who knows. It will be pitched as a corporation and production brand, not a wrestling promotion. WWE doesn't care about wrestling lol. I assume any major American company with ties to television will be who they're after. Amazon, Disney, NBC Universal, etc. A sale probably won't be happening until early 2022 at the earliest I reckon. You want these changes to take effect so on paper they look as profitable as possible.

A bunch of workers, maybe except Black, that nobody really gave two craps about now all of a sudden are the nail in the coffin for Vince because they were let go. It goes to show you that AEW is not a worry on anyone's mind. Let them all go to Jacksonville. Corny is 100% right. Vince doesn't have to pay for them now, he'll let daddy Khan open up his bank account to over pay a bunch of dead weight and in three years he'll hire them back when they spin their wheels even more in the land of flippy flop fools. I never cared for Braun and like it was said, he was so ruined that nothing would bring him back. Black was cool. Lana is a bore and was always a bore. Shut up, flash your ass, and leave. Ruby Riott should just be a female jobber. They should have let Rhea rip her apart in a few squash matches. and I have no opinion on the others because I looked away every time they were on tv. Tell us more of your love for cinematic matches, entertainment based vignettes, sexism, and power moves! You seem to know everything anyway, so why should poor, little 'ol me tell you things, you'd think this was a message board where people can give opinions and whatnot, HOT DAMN, was I ever so wrong!!! Everyone! Gather around and take a knee, kinnikuman is ready to speak!!!!!!! Enlighten us with your tales of nothingness and inadequacy! We are waiting!!!

Surprised at Braun, not so much at the others. Murphy is just generic workrate guy #846, Black is pretty much the same but with tattoos and a lame goth persona. Neither of them were ever going to be money. I was looking forward to Big E vs Aleister though. E’s got enough personality that it makes up for others not having any.
Lana being cut makes sense, her tag team with Naomi wasn’t going anywhere, and she’d be far more use as Rusev’s manager in AEW.
Sad for Ruby Riott to have lost her job, but as a viewer, I’m very glad to see her gone. Not visually appealing, not a good talker, never really had any great matches. This hopefully opens the door for Liv Morgan to step up into a bigger role as a singles wrestler.
I’m amazed that Santana was even still there. It feels like a hundred years ago she was on Scott Hall’s YouTube show.
I like there being more turnover of wrestlers. The roster sticking around for a thousand years is one of the reasons Raw feels so stale. Of course, another main reason is the endless rematches because the roster is so shallow, so I hope they do some callups soon.
Edit: Uh oh, apparently Aleister Black has been twitch streaming and was shooting down the Fed Bad and Knowing Vince narratives. He’s shooting himself in the foot for life on the indies!

It's no secret that when it comes to wrestling, you and I have very, very, very different taste. I totally agree about the turnover. Every professional sport has this. You can sign a huge 3 year deal worth millions, and be playing in the minors 2 years later. You can spend years riding the waiver wire and then suddenly make it big at the tail end of your career, etc, etc. It's just part of being a professional athlete. Teams make relatively lateral trades all the time. I don't want anybody to starve, but there are tons of ways to make money in wrestling right now. More than ever. You don't have to be the 1 or 2 from the list to make it to AEW (Who I assume have the 2nd highest contract values for the most part. I'm sure the big NJPW stars rival it but I think the lower tiers in AEW pay better than NJPW). Look at Lio Rush. Dude is working his ass off wrestling everywhere and having the best years of his career. Likewise, a lot of the guys who have left speak similarly to Black. Even guys like Moxley, who was basically fitting the criteria for a diagnosis of major depressive disorder near the end of his WWE run, has been very professional in talking about things. You can be unhappy with something and still be professional about it. Making a few kayfabe jabs on a show about the competition is one thing, but most of them talk very professionally about their experiences otherwise.

So excited to see Tommy End again. Murphy will kill it wherever he ends up too. Ruby was always underutilized, imo. The others are no real loss. Braun has been a goober for a while and Lana was only good in her original heel Russian manager role hopefully Lana goes to AEW as a manager No thank you. Miro is way better without her

I’ll be shocked if Ricochet, Ali, and Keith Lee survive these cuts

If one iota of a nasty story anti-Vincers spout isn't 150% proven with receipts by every castaway the second they're relieved of duty, then nothing negative ever said about the WWE is true. Big victory today! It's definitely not a situation where someone can have their own interpretations or experiences. Nope, not at all...

For what it’s worth Aliester also admitted they slowly killed the character

I could bring up all the sexual abusers that are still employed, and being promoted strongly, but it would derail the thread.
I’m upset about Black and Ruby are gone. From the sounds of it Braun wasn’t offered what he thought he was worth. Buddy sadly wasn’t going to be used.
Sucks.

Strowman was in the bracket of making 1+ million per year. He was clearly a mega asset in WWE’s eyes so something bad must’ve happened for him to be released like that

I still dont understand the over reactions by "fans" on the internet. The whole "Im never watching again", "you've lost me as a fan" even as far as wishing death on Vince....Ive literally seen them part with Hulk Hogan, Ric Flair, Ultimate Warrior, Macho Man, The Rock and Steve Austin....Every single one of them bigger than any wrestler they've released in the past 10-15 years and WWE & the wrestling world still moves on.

There is a guy in the PA thread that is selling his whole collection after today’s releases, if you need anything hit him up, he is over it!
