First, John Laurinaitis replaced him as WWE's Head of Talent and Now I have heard rumors that Vince McMahon and Kevin Dunn are replacing him as NXT's show runners. Thoughts?

I don't know about that specifically but I did have a thought the other day that relates to NXT, but no good thread to post in before now.
Never watched the full NXT product before the Tuesday move. Not the network show, not the USA show. Watched early TakeOvers (up thru Chicago 2017 currently) and some isolated "TV" matches on comps. I've read people say that today's product doesn't hold their interest as it once did, and of course the rotation of talent and little/no fans would affect the show as well. But is it drastically different from before? If individual matches or segments were watched on their own, would the energy match up to the classic stuff; or are there production, announcing, or creative elements that have driven NXT to be less than what it was?

Hunter was never head of talent relations. They would be out of their depth running NXT, I heard they want to do a 2nd NXT show. But they source someone externally to do run that but Hunter would stay overseeing the main NXT roster.

They would have left if 205 Live was still a thing on its own and that the CW Title wasn't in NXT. I can't see Gargano or Cole doing stuff on the main roster.

I really like Vince but he’s one of those guys that when he’s made up his mind, there’s no changing it. Chris Jericho couldn’t convince him to change his Wrestlemania 29 opponent nor could Kurt Angle do the same with wrestling Baron Corbin in his last match. |

NXT has decided they are a third brand, not the minor leagues like so many people still think. "Call ups" are a thing of the past. NXT is the wrestling show (205 and NXT UK are too but whatever). RAW and Smackdown are the Entertainment shows. That said, NXT is indeed getting stale. But what can they do? The roster is literally like 15 men (if that) and 10 women (if that). The weekly same old same old gets boring ... and with Steph spending way too much time in HHH's ear, the show has changed. You can debate for the better, but it has changed. And it will not be looking back.

^^ there have been a few releases since I counted, but as of April 15th it was 38 men and 17 women.
