You have to take into account how an action figure is engineered. The parts used internally and externally to make it move and function. While there is a huge market of six inch toys, how many figure lines can you think of that look exactly the same in design and aesthetics? Marvel Legends, Jazwares AEW etc. Every new line creates a unique sculpt and design to avoid this. Imagine it like designing a car. If I bought a Tesla and reverse engineered it for small time manufacturing, but tweaked a few minor details. Would that be okay to produce? I would say the example of a car isn’t the best because you can patent the scurry so mechanics snd electronics. A figure would more likely be design concept rather than patent. Every week on dragons den you hear ideas turned down because the slightest tweet to the design or concept renders the patent useless As I say I’m no expert but patents, copyright etc isn’t as simple or clear cut as people often think. There’s a reason lawyers dedicate their whole careers to this one very small element of law |

Received my DK figure and he has 2 right hands(closed fists). The extra set of hands is ok. Have reached out to customer service and waiting to hear back. Overall it gives me hope for the Sabu figure.

Ironic that the Mattel Davey Boy had the same issue No way?!? Do you know which Elite series? I have 2 different ones but never unboxed them. It was the bulldogs version. Believe it was Elite 82. Can't remember if it was the default or the fisted hands but they packed 2 of the same hand |
