Chella Toys 7' Fully Articulated Wrestling Figure Line!!!!!

Yes I call them stems or hip stems in Sabu’s hip breaking issue.

Just opened my Sabu. He didn’t break which is nice, but man, this one is such a let down. The head wrap sits kind of loose, his hair is stiff and makes it impossible to do his pose properly. The sash on his waist makes it hard to put a Mattel ECW title on him (only tried the tag title so far). Not to mention the pants are just wrong and there isn’t a hole for a stand on either foot.

For now he’s just going to have to be my stand in for Sabu until someone else eventually puts out a better option.

The real reason for them breaking has been identified and put out in both Epics statement yesterday and above. The hip pegs are not the same material that were agreed from the approved sample which has caused this error.

Obviously the whole situation (the 2 year wait and now the legs) is far from ideal and Epic replacing all of the figures was the only way forward in this situation.

I’m in these forums trying to give as many answers as I can so communication is improved between Epic and the customers, of course there’s going to be a bias there from our end

Hands up I haven’t listened to the pod, but 3POA mentioned about all the work epic have had to do to get this made.

I can’t help but go back to what I’ve been thinking ever since they took over chella…why take it over? It seems like such a cursed project. I know from what I’ve read they have put a lot of time and money into and I applaud them for stopping people having nothing to show for the money they paid under the previous ownership but why not just start their own company from the ground up and not have the baggage etc of all this?

The sabu was designed etc by someone else so why put your name to it? I feel sorry for both the guys at epic and the guys who have the figure cos everyone loses in this instance

Unrelated but I watch this guy on YouTube who has a fishing bait company as well as his non-fishing related YouTube. Point of mentioning is he got a contract with a huge fishing company, provided all the bait to them, didn’t get paid and got radio silence then the big company filled for bankruptcy.

It’s such a rubbish situation when me company can effectively bankrupt another through no fault of the affected company.

...but were Chella even a registered company at that point?

Interesting that Chella Toys appeared as a company (and with Charles as director) only in April last year. Some years after Chella began and after they had been "taken over". Were all the previous deals just written on napkins?!

That would work. And you could supplement that with controversial people who also have action figures (could work with wrestling or outside of it too).

It might be a better idea than what I pitched Daniel awhile back which was something along the lines of reviewing an old PPV and then having you tell stories of what messed up stuff was going on in your life during said time period.
