Obviously, it appears very similar to Mattel, but it features different hand pegs, molded wrist tape, and appears to feature no upper thigh slit like a normal Elite. Interested to see what a legit finished product looks like rather than just a hand painted production sample.

If you look carefully, you can see pixelation around where the lines would be on an elite. Meaning they have edited something out.

Yeah, you can tell they used the eye dropper tool in Photoshop to try to match the white on his thights but didn't quite get it exact. So there's a slight off coloredness around the swivel points.

I don’t see how they can just use a Mattel body and not say it’s a custom. The head sculpt doesn’t really look like him and it’s on the smaller side.

I just think the Mattel body is a mock up, because they also posted these pics leading up to this. It looks Elite like, but isn’t an elite. So I think the final product will be on their body sculpt.

Mattels gonna shut this down. All they did was sculpt over the wrists and change the pegs. Cease n desist for sure. I bet soon Chella will be releasing a Marty Jannetty and it will just be the Retrofest Shawn Michaels with a new head.

The complaint is they're taking pre-orders for a figure that might never see the light of day if Mattel wants to tie it up legal wise because it basically looks like a bootleg Mattel.

If that's the case, they need to note that in the pre-order images. I'd personally consider that a bait and switch.

Technically speaking it's not illegal to use a mattel figure to advertise what their product may look like (Shocker Toys used to use custom Marvel Legends for displays at SDCC back in the day), I think the problem is they're falsfying things to claim that elite is their own sculpt.

I just hope I get the chase. Because I gave my Davey boy and custom Dynamite the blue trunks over the white tights. So I am hoping the final product is their own body sculpt because the Davey Boy body doesn’t work for Dynamite Kid. Either way though as long as the skin tones match I will be fine because if the pic is what it’s going to look like then I will just put the head on my custom Dynamite Kid.

For clarification, are say the above picture isn't just a scanned Elite? Because that is the Mattel heavyweight "shark fin triceps" arm 100%.

From the underneath shot it does look like it, but the cuts on the inside of the upper arm are slightly different. Then the pic on the left for the thigh/arm the cuts are totally different on the outside of the arm compared to a Mattel Triple H arm. The top cut between the bicep and tricep is more circle-ish on their while much more oval on Mattel’s. And though we can’t tell for certain the length of the arms the pic on the left is does look like it’s shorter/stockier than a Mattel arm.

I wouldn’t want the WM3 chase. I’d want the common to match up with Davey.

Yup. And the folds in the trunks are in the same place than on the Mattel's Davey and other figures. If they can get away with it, then good for them, I guess? All they did was scan an Elite, make a couple digital edits and call it theirs. It's a $52 bootleg.

Just hope it’s close to an elite and we get figures Mattel can’t make.
