Let's get back to discussing the figures and stop attacking people. I'm so interested in how these sell; I can see people buying them to re-sell later, which I think is a huge gamble. What about you guys? I think the first series is going to sell very well, and probably have a relatively healthy overall secondary market for Dino/Earl and maybe Sabu, and Cardona and Myers will probably maintain a solid price as well amongst their hardcore fans. That said, I’d there are are delivery issues/time issues or the figures disappoint, I could see series 2 seeing a dip. On the other hand, if there’s good word of mouth, I could see series 2 selling better. Really, and I know I’m a broken record with this, it’s going to come down to the figures in hand.

Case in point: Cardona and Myers are in series one, and Mark Sterling and Swoggle are getting figures, and not one of those moves make sense. I’m gonna be the guy to disagree there. We can argue about the reasons, people’s opinions of the podcast, the merch, the people who buy the merch, whatever, but from a business standpoint, every figure or figure m-like product Cardona and Myers have offered or been a part of since they left WWE have sold exceedingly to a rabid audience. Including them in the first series of the line makes total sense from that perspective. Re: Swoggle and Mark, not nearly as close to a guarantee, but I would wager selling roughly 3,000 of each of those (which seems to be the run #) will happen relatively quickly thanks to the MWFP FB fandom alone. Again, I’m not going to argue whether that’s a good thing, bad thing, or indifferent thing, but from a business standpoint it he moves make total sense. I'm going to disagree with your disagreement while also agreeing with it. When one of the major selling points is "fitting in with your Habros", Cardona and Myers don't do it. I'm not saying they should never have gotten figures, but they wouldn't have been close to the first few sets released. Also, while you do have a point on their merch selling well, aren't the runs for the most part all pretty small? It's not hard to sell out of stuff when it barely exists.

What about you guys? Dude you need to let people have their discussions here as you have come across a few times like this, and the topics highlighted beyond the figures are clearly something members wish to talk about and are relevant to the post, there is no new information on ZST line currently and I am sure after today and pre sales we can discuss who all got them, but there are a lot of relevant topics and issues surrounding the line that is relevant to the discussion, if those topics are not for you let people have those and jump back in when new figures become available or new information is known. To answer your question, I do believe one of two things will happen, the secondary market and scalpers will benefit greatly from this line, even just factoring in oversees sales will produce a decent profit margin. So that’s either going to go down, or what I personally believe, “they” Zombie and the pod are creating a false market and have and will push the limited aspect of the set following the “demand is greater than supply” philosophy. Zombie will bank on an initial sell out and then magically produce additional numbers for anyone that did not get them. The pod guys have done this with their own merchandise, referred to as a bate and switch.

Based on this, it'll be interesting to see if international orders suddenly open up after a week or two of sales

What about you guys? Dude, you're perpetuating an idea that people are being rude and arugmentative, when nobody is. It's a forum for discussion, and that's what everyone is doing. You just keep saying things like this and it's why posts are being deleted left and right. Learn to differenciate an argument from a conversation. And before you accuse me, I'm not attacking you, I'm just asking you if you could stop being hyperbolic. Good lucky for anyone buying figures tonight, I hope you can get what you want.

ZST originally wanted these to be limited to 1000 I believe. Which maybe shows a lack of faith in certain people (The pod guys) selling. Now that's completely conspiratory I know, but you never know.

Oh, look. mrh is trying to shut down valid discussion and play mod again.
I'll be honest, I never put much stock in the character selection before, but it's a damn good point. Setting aside the rabid fanbase who desperately want to be noticed by senpai, who are Ryder and Hawkins next to Bravo, Hebner, and Sabu. For that matter, who are Swoggle and Sterling next to some of the names in this set.

Tonight’s the big night!
Does anyone foresee some sales gimmicks coming when the 2500 of each sell out? For example “we are making 1000 more available because of the demand at $50each!”
Don’t forget ZST is unofficially teamed up with the MajorPod who just recently were selling exclusive! one month only! then gone forever! T-shirt’s on collarxelbow then had a “change of plans” and now the shirts sold under exclusively are now always available.
Will the site hold up to the traffic?
Will there be variants that all of a sudden go up for sale at a higher price point after the initial wave is gone?
I did see the tweet about Dec-Feb shipping which is not Q4 that is in ZST twitter profile. Serious doubts about these being under our Xmas trees.

Yea I agree, I give very little thought to the character selection too but it is extremely valid, in a way it’s evident of their involvement within Zombies business model. And as stilly as it may sound they actually get a rub by being associated with the bigger talent, makes them appear bigger stars. It’s also confirmed they are signing talents on his behalf but Cardona mainly played a role with the recent signing of Jeff. For a brand that is always transparent this aspect is kept on the down low. I would also put money on that once series one is released they will introduce chase figures and limited numbers of 1/100 1/25 even, this will be right out of Jeremys play book and again to create a false market. What will be interesting is that by the time Smart Mark comes out he will be more known than Cardona and Myers and actually be a better seller due to his exposure on AEW, Cardona and Myers are a mainstream afterthought at this point. If you look at how Ethan Page sold out for Chella for an example.

Oh I have no doubt in the chase figures and limited numbers coming along with this set, maybe not right away but it will happen just for the reasons and examples you have provided, it’s become common place for them. A lot of people have worked out what the pod has become all about and I think it’s peaked. They had the means to offer Zombie support to benefit all collectors world wide, rather they are choosing to become part of the problem, with exception of those “Marks” (and again peeps read up in what that terms means in their profession) who buy anything they try and sell. A lot of people don’t want that trio being thought of as representatives for a collecting community. They have become everything they would have hated in a collector and as long as their own needs are being catered to, to hell with everyone else.

Will order 2 of each. Will flip one full set overhere in Europe. Will have the other set for a bargain. Never listened to the Pod(?), don’t know what FTC is, don’t care about ZST personally. ;-) you're buying two sets just to sell them? hope they arrive beat to hell There's nothing wrong with importing extra with intent to sell. Especially when these things will never hit the UK market. It gives people over here more of an opportunity to buy the stuff. Some people here refuse to import due to the hassle, cost, risk etc. And makes costs manageable for the person doing the importing.

"Fitting in with your Hasbros" seems to overall only indicate size and design. Like yes, there are obviously talents signed who are there to fill the preexisting gaps in the Hasbro, but there's also people that have nothing to do with WWF during the original Hasbro line (Sabu, Brodie, R&R) and modern talent (Danhausen, Cardona, Myers, Enzo) etc. so I mean at that point it all becomes a bit subjective IMO. As for their merch, probably. TBH, I haven't kept track of the #s for most of it, but the Patreon FB group alone is at about 2,000 people. I don't think their figures will have an issue selling, which was my initial point.

More of a general comment than a replay to any specific post here, but RE: Lineup selection, I think sometimes this place can be just as insular as say the Majorpod Group wanting figures of those guys or etc. To a lot of people (especially heavily online wrestling fans potentially in the collecting market) Cardona/Myers/Swoggle (and beyond the pod, Danhausen, Sabu, etc. have much higher name recognition that Paul Roma, Hercules, and even Kevin Sullivan. I'm not knocking those guys at all, just saying sometimes this stuff gets very subjective.

Thus far, ZST hasn't signed any "must haves" for me, but I'm also not the typical Hasbro/retro collector. My stance kinda comes from the absence of any involvement of the podcast itself. If we remove that factor and get an upstart wanting to put out a line of high quality, Hasbro styled figures marketed specifically and deliberately toward adult collectors, I have a hard time envisioning a scenario where Hawkins and Ryder even crack the list for the set at all, nevermind the premier series.

Very valid, and in addition to your point it’s how their involvement has impacted the line going forward and looking at this subjectively the only one who is of note is Double J. I think the issue is it runs the risk of becoming a major pod product or Major Pod and Friends retro line but not being promoted as such, but they certainly have a presence there, Myers and Cardona series one, Smart Mark , Swoggle, Sex Ferguson (Doc Gallows friend of Myers), Rock n Roll signed by Myers, Hebner signed by Cardona, I am awaiting Chelsea Green to be announced as the first female also.

If the Podcast didn't exist, they definitely wouldn't be made. But, the podcast, rightly or wrongly or whatever, has not only made the Major Bros bigger wrestling names (I like both of them a lot, but I don't think Myers is on Impact every week and Cardona is doing this big viral angle with Nick Gage without their podcast/scoal presence) it's made them big names amongst collectors (again, I know that rankles people and I'm not arguing that's a good thing or bad thing) to the point that I think anyone starting a line like this would target them right now, even if there had been no preexisting relationship.

Very well put man and thought provoking. This will be interesting to see if those guys are a sell out, if not it would be somewhat of an embarrassment considering their whole brand is based around wrestling figures, now in saying that they are in a line with some heavy hitting talent. This would be a true test of their merit beyond WWE, although not the biggest number from a toy manufacturer standpoint with 2500, but the pod has never went beyond a few hundred per product, and I think that number has been used enough when limiting their own products that it is evident that is their max fanbase or target audience for sales. So it total that 5000 figures they have to sell to essentially confirm their relevance. It will be interesting to see how all pans out, it’s a big world so we will see if 12,500 fans buy into this whole line. I see Zombie is being super nice on socials today 😂

Not really true to say the angle with gage is without the podcast presence. Gage has referred numerous times to matts toy obsession which the casual fan wouldn’t know that much about and wasn’t really ever featured into his wwe presence bar a very old magazine feature and their spin off show on the network which again only a certain niche of fans would have watched. The angle has also been referenced on the pod.

That the angle with Gage wouldn’t be happening without the podcast, both in the literal sense that it’s been mentioned on the podcast and the overall sense that Cardona’s popularity has grown exponentially thanks to the Podcast.

If my buddy is scoring any figures, these will go nowhere. Never understood resellers. I‘d rather invest the energy in getting a better paid job. I believe the S1 will be an fast sell out. Jason Wulf is selling his customs for 40 or 50 and they sell out in a few hours. ZST will most linely have a similar effect. No one will buy only one figure. On a sidenote ZST mentioned that he is still working on a way to make these available to internationals. Sounds promising for S2 or S3. We will see.
