This is 100% a true story. I even took a picture to show guys from FPWFP. I could not believe it. That had to be like a 20 year old figure -- and the price was 9.99

I got a Bendems Goldust at a Walmart in late 2001.
And not a figure, but I found a whole rack of 2001 WWF Valentines at my local dollar store in 2011. Someone must have found a box of them somewhere...I bought them when they first came out, and bought them again the 2nd time.

I've only really been back in the hobby since about 2017 and, in that time, I've never seen and WWE figure sit for more than a couple months, and nowadays, you're lucking if anything lasts more than a week.
However, There was one lonely Songbird from 2018 that rotted on the ML shelf until sometime in 2020. That's the worst I've seen in recent memory.

daniel bryan with the jumpsuit (wyatt family) and junk yard dog were in my walmart up until a year or two ago. Man this Daniel Bryan rotted so bad. Legit collected dust. |

At Winners in 2018/19 I found TNF1 and E49.
Nothing beats the Jakks BCA Signature Series Jacqueline at my local Zellers for seemingly all of time.

For me it's probably Elite 39 Godfather at Walgreens two and a half years or so after release. Came out in early 2017, and I bought it in late 2019 or early 2020. Cool figure.

Within the last 6 months, I grabbed a MOC Narcissist Lex Luger on the shelf at an Ollie's. Was shocked, wish they would of had all of Elite 45, I would of passed out lol.

Went into a Walgreens a couple weeks ago and they had a basic 20 Sheamus on the Pegs. It was all messed up, too, so you know it's been sitting there for years.
Also, at another Walgreens about a year ago, I found a Jerry Sags elite in the very back of the bottom shelf. It too looked like it was run over a few times, so I didn't bother getting it.
Not sure if this counts but a local Antique Store has hundreds of old Jakks figures moc for sale. I'm not a fan of Jakks and the prices were outrageous so I never bought any. They also have a ton of old Star Wars and GI Joe figures from the 1980s, all moc and in mint condition, but again, their prices are almost offensive. Probably 2-3 times the average eBay price.
