So not wanting to get this locked but it’s news and deserves to be mentioned imo is zombie has just tweeted “very exciting news” is coming soon for “uk and international” customers with the heels and faces hashtag. Not gonna lie, I couldn’t bring myself to spend $40+ on these, just couldn’t justify it.

A "pretty heavy collector" as you say, wouldn't mind paying $40 for a figure from a very small company. Yeah, you're right, I'm just lying out my ass. Not sure where you get off thinking you could possibly dictate a stranger's willingness to pay based solely on the context of them having a large figure collection, but it makes you look pretty foolish. Again - this guy doesn't know ZST from a hole in the ground. He doesn't come prepackaged with the knowledge we do that ZST is a small business and that's why these cost $40 and blah blah blah. He came across them, got excited, looked into it, and backed out when he caught the price. Maybe you're one of those people who deems what qualities make people a real collector, I dunno. Either way, nice attempt to poke holes in my story. First of all, I didn't lock those threads (edit: or this one, just noticed it was locked); when I lock a thread I always say why. Second, I wasn't putting DeepFigureValue away as a liar, I just said that such a collector wouldn't mind. I get that his friend doesn't follow boards or pods. DeepFigureValue says his friend wouldn't know ZST from a hole in the wall/ground. I don't know his friend, but I'd give his friend more credit: he buys all he can find in stores Jakks, Mattel, Jazwares. So that friend knows Mattel is a huge company and thus cheaper than say a smaller company like Super7. Maybe collectors have changed and only buy when it's cheap, in that case small companies are sadly doomed... |
