That Sandman looks incredible so far imo. I'm here for all the ECW guys. The Big Bully looks great, but man, I don't see people lining up to buy that one. That's a little too deep down the Hasbro era rabbit hole for me. Yeah I guess he fits in with that era of wrestlers like Skinner, etc....

I was listening to a Major Pod episode from *December* and Cardona said Zombie had shown him the production samples for Series 2. It's insane these are still not out in August. Doubt it can be all Zombie's fault, but he doesn't help make it better by not giving transparency. how is it not Zombie's fault?
ZST is literally a one-man company. any delays in the schedules he's advertised are down to him and his contracts with suppliers.
either his suppliers can't produce the goods to the timeframe as agreed, in which case, that's a contractual matter with the suppliers, or his attempt at creating hype doesn't match his suppliers' schedule (which is his own fault for not understanding what they can deliver when he's throwing dates out there)
if he had production samples in hand in December, which means they were produced a long time before and shipped to him, then he's either intentionally waited over 6 further months to get them produced and shipped (another 4-6 week delay in itself) or he's been bumped down in priority by his factory because they've received a larger order. either way, it's on him because he either doesn't have a robust enough contract to secure production slots, or he's delaying his own process.
no-one else is at fault for ZST delays, other than Josh.

was at a specialty toy store in the outskirts of Cincinnati yesterday that had Zombie series 1 on the shelf. I didn't pay too much attention to them because I've got the ones I want, but it was cool seeing them in the wild. They had at least Hebnar, Sabu, and Cardona that I saw at $40 each. same store had some of the MWFP Ringside exclusives so guessing Cardona or Myers set up a deal with them

Go to the asylum store or anywhere selling mantuar and zoom in on that figure. If that’s the quality of the paint done on a figure used to advertise and creates sales, imagine what the figure you receive will look like. I'm really having a hard time deciding to preorder from KWK. Mantaur looks alright but I haven't seen him by any hasbros to see the size comparison. Also after being very let down by Rush I'm not to excited to back a new company with the preorder model Especially someone who has already proven to hava at least a questionable character.

Ahmed looks good but it doesn’t scale right in my mind. The hunched over look isn’t how I picture him in my head either. This would make a beautiful figure for his larger line but I actually prefer Mitch’s smaller, cartoonier version. http://instagram.com/p/CvsE04fOJCx

If Zombie was at least doing a different action, if he did say the body slam style, I'd probably order for sure, but this just looks more like another statue. Too realistic for me, when I already have one I think fits better.

TO me, the Hassel figure is so much more comparable to a Hasbro, for all its issues.
The ZST feels like a shrunken statue

Totally disagree here.
G&G AJ looks like a Virgil customized to be Ahmed Johnson (in fact I did this when I was a kid, even had a second Virgil because of this - the other one was SFM Kama). H&F AJ will look extremely good next to the bodyslam Ultimate Warrior and LOD. People tend to forget that the original Hasbro line was indeed very detailed.

the H&F line doesn't have that, it's gone far more detailed, almost like 4.5" scaled versions of Mattel's main figure lines
the problem with extremely detailed figures alongside some Hasbros - they don't blend in as well, and many collectors may want a collection of figures that just look the same from a distance

Completely well said. You can have 1,000 details -- and still look like the Hasbro cartoony look and feel. ZST doesn't have that.
It's FINE. It's really not a big deal; it's just not a fit for collectors who want things that compare to the original Hasbros.

Something I'd like to see more of from all of these companies is the sturdiness that Hasbro figures had. The paint wasn't indestructible, but it didn't generally smudge or chip easily, and the figures themselves weren't exactly easy to break unintentionally.
I know a lot of people display these things, but I'd like them to at least be able to hold up to a little bashing now and then. Kids do like to play with these things, my nephew certainly does and I'm happy to let him but so many of them scratch and smudge so easily and feel very cheap and vulnerable. I think my Jay White lost paint on Day 1, and a friend's Sabu has lots of smudging on the green pants.

I feel the ZST Jarrett and the Chella Adam Bomb nailed the cartoony to realness scale

Exactly this, what my dream is, is to have figures that I can pop into a shelf amongst my Hasbro collection, in the time period it would have been released had Hasbro made it. So for instance, H&F Dino is amongst Hasbro S2, and Double J right after the green cards, and then Mitch's MoM and H/F Booger will go there too, so on and so on. I also have customs mixed in as well and some of the Mattel Retros, which in most cases the Mattels don't really look right either, at least w/out some mods, but I have some in.
