I agree that the cards seem a bit busier than I’m used to. I don’t dislike it and appreciate that it feels unique enough to the brand. Some of the artwork of the people (Hebner specifically) feels off. Since I do not no collect MOC, I am not too bothered by this. For those who are, this is a valid concern. If ZST happens to read this, know that I respect the amazing amount of resources and work you have put into making this all happen. You want to put out the best product possible and that is a great attitude. Please do take into consideration that the artwork of Hebner does not reflect the quality of the brand that you are building. It’s a fair criticism. If you feel differently then what many of us say/do may not be of importance to you. With the Heels and Faces Line and all other lines: I like to see the best product possible as often as possible. Art is a matter of opinion so not everyone will agree all of the time. Being open to criticism, especially from those who show you respect, is something that can benefit you. That is something that applies to nearly everything in life and is a philosophy worth sharing. http://instagram.com/p/CYZML3MFQKs

Anyways packaging is cool, and a nice twist on the design from the original card. Will hold final thoughts until figs and bubble are added. But decent thus far.

12k total would put each fig at around 2k if each guy produced, assuming the SDCC Jeff is included in that as he was supposed to be ready with series 1 right?

Cards look fine. Interested in seeing the final product because so far I still think saying they will fit in with Hasbros figures is a mistake.

These will definitely not fit into the Hasbro series, but the source is very obvious and they are a great homage to a great toyliine.
Same can be said about Chellas product btw.
The only tome I can remember a toyline being perfectly continued by another company was Neca taking over the World of Springfield by Playmates. Their Bret Hart blended in perfectly.
But you won’t get this with any attempt for the WWF Hasbros because the line consisted of few base bodies that have been repeated as often as possible in different ways (Headshrinkers are the best example in my eyes) with only few new parts added here and there (Nailz upper body with DiBiase legs, Razor upper body with Macho legs etc). So unless someone gets the rights to use the exact source material, you won’t have a perfect match. Nevertheless all these Retro lines can be alot of fun. 🙂

I don't really care at all about the packaging. I'm going to be opening them and displaying them loose, just like all of my Hasbros, Mattel Retros, and Chellas. the tender loving care on the cards is nice, but it's literally just going in the trash for me about 20 minutes after I get them

I believe 2500 of each ZST were made. (Which I’m told was almost sold out, remaining stock will be sold once in hand)
Chella nick aldis had 2000 made, which didn’t sell out (this is the reason the remaining stock was created into 1 of 100)
Ethan page was a 1 of 500
From all info I was told every other chella was 1000. Extras were made for hot sellers (dynamite)…

Those numbers sound correct. Because my memory is hit or miss, I did not want to say with any certainty what they were. The 2500 number really stuck out to me so I’m glad you confirmed it.

Go on YT, ZST was interviewed by the squaredcirclewrestlingfigurepodcast. It’s an 1 hour and 23 min interview.
At the 1 hour 18 min mark, the host thanks Z for coming on and givens him an open forum for any last messages to the people. For the next 2 minutes Z excoriates the haters and also backtracks on a “perfect” product by relabeling it as “as close to perfect as possible”.

Thank you for informing us about that interview! I’m enjoying and learning a lot from it now. Between this interview and the one with Smart Mark Sterling, I really am of the opinion that Josh/Zombie communicates best in an interview format. The host reminds me endearingly of Charlie from Its Always Sunny. Can anyone recommend some of his other work?
Link for anyone who wants to watch:
Some of the more interesting parts I’ve seen so far:
-Heels and Faces did 120k in sales in the first 3 minutes -Ultra rare limited runs are not planned but SDCC or NYCC Exclusives are being worked towards. -They haven’t decided if Andre will be two versions but it sounds like they are leaning that way (instead of 2 heads) -Cardona and Nick will have 2 heads and be in a 2 pack -We should have 20 figures in hand before 2022 is over -He recently signed some really big names -Ron Rudat did not do the artwork for most (any?) of the series 1 Hasbros so doing Andre was exciting for him.

thanks for sharing the notes. That would be awesome if he can get basically 4 series of figures out by end of the year.

So excluding series 1, Jeff and Dan Hausen that’s 14 figures to be up for sale in 2022, at $40 each so for a completist that’s $560 at $40 a piece. Gotta think people will start being a lot more selective pumping them out that rapid - mattel are only doing 2 sets a year of the retros

from his interview, $20 seems to be his cost per figure. He said his cost is about as much as a Mattel Elite. And he mentioned Danhausen cost a ton more to make vs everyone else

I’ll try and snag the Cardona/Gage two pack. Outside that, everything so far is a hard pass.

from his interview, $20 seems to be his cost per figure. He said his cost is about as much as a Mattel Elite. And he mentioned Danhausen cost a ton more to make vs everyone else I get he wants to package them safe but talking about having custom tissue paper in the packaging is a bit much even for the most ardent collector I would have thought?

Has he confirmed whether or not what RVD said about his figure being canned was accurate? from his interview, $20 seems to be his cost per figure. He said his cost is about as much as a Mattel Elite. And he mentioned Danhausen cost a ton more to make vs everyone else I get he wants to package them safe but talking about having custom tissue paper in the packaging is a bit much even for the most ardent collector I would have thought? Wait, really? LOL H&F out here getting packaged by Rowan Atkinson at the jewelry desk in Love Actually.
