The constant bashing and talking about other companies puts me off, but I guess that’s his way of doing business. I’m not a fan of his personality but I am a fan of the figures we’ve seen so far. Unfortunately, if more people start to get angry at the way he goes on about other “companies” then he’s only doing damage to himself. This is how I feel. I'm all about the product, not the person behind it. My only gripe with Zombie is the lack of product 🤷

If you guys that complain about zombies antics aren’t picking up on the fact that he’s purposely trolling you guys, I don’t know what to tell you. Trolls aren’t necessarily the most likable people but his comments are less about insulting his competitors and more about grinding the gears of people like we have here in this thread. How much more obvious does he have to make it? Will you realize he’s trolling when he says “god came down from the heavens and christened these figures so that they are to be worshiped”? So, uh...how's that any better? "Guys, he's not dunking on the competition...he's dunking on the members of this board, which likely makes up a significant segment of his potential consumer base, who had the audacity to question his approach!" This was definitely much better than just trashing the competition. He really owned those members who saw what he had to say first hand and chose to not spend their money with him. Someone call the burn ward. It’s a lot better if you’ve got any semblance of a sense of humor… not that he’s actually funny… but someone trying and failing to be funny isn’t as bad as someone trying to be disrespectful

That's okay. I get the comedy act missing the mark angle (I tend to see Zack Cardona this way). Zombie went off when he was here. You can still browse his posts in one place - even for a board filled with trolls, it's pretty off the deep end.

A preview of the Heels and Faces ring: Although completely different than the Hasbro ring, I would like to see this one come with a belt.

Could see them doing one of the Major Brothers belts or something like that, but I dunno what other belt he'd include, unless it was like, a ZST World Championship, which is just...eugh.

Maybe get a figure out before worrying about a ring? Just a thought

I’m all seriousness though I do wonder who a ring would appeal to?
The idea of the line and the original pitch was figures which will fit in with your hasbros.
Excluding andre who had one and the newer wrestlers the line is primarily focused on those who were in wwf but didn’t get a figure or were in a different promotion during the hasbro era
I think it’s fair to say those who the line is directed to are somewhat serious collectors of hasbros. It’s therefore safe to assume they may have a hasbro ring. If not and they’re new to the game, you can get hasbro rings for not that much (a good condition boxed one sold in December for £140 - the most recent which comes up under sold listings).
His niche in the market is you like the hasbro form, and want wrestlers in that form who were not originally released and fill out gaps in your collection. So wouldn’t people go and get a genuine hasbro ring rather than essentially a copy / more detailed version?

From some of his interviews I’ve listened to, it comes across to me that he is a lot like most of us: a fan. He has his own visions for what he wants the line to be like. It’s possible like anything else in life that your plans change/evolve for a multitude of reasons.
Given that he talks a lot about his fandom and what a passion project this has been, it makes sense that he has signed so many former ECW guys (his favorite era). It could also be the reason why he wants to do an ultra detailed ring in this scale. It hasn’t been done and it’s something he wants/wanted when he was younger. This is a bit of speculation on my part but it’s mostly generated by the way he has spoken about these things.
I’ve had an obsession with rings for years which is why I’m personally excited for one. I like the RSR/ESR but they aren’t perfect and are clearly too massive for this scale. It won’t be for everyone and it probably will be costly.

How much more obvious does he have to make it? Will you realize he’s trolling when he says “god came down from the heavens and christened these figures so that they are to be worshiped”? There is a culture of this attitude developing among providers that collectors should be in some way indebted to them for providing a product, and in turn they develop an ego and entitlement for how they can interact and treat people. To be fair this is not regulated to Zombie but he appears to be with a group of like minded folks who I assume take joy in seeing what they can get away with. Zombie, Cardona, Myers (notably to a lesser extent), Smart Mark, Ryan (PWT) and even lately that fella Kanik (see recent tweets) all share the same attitude. I feel people need to be informed of providers to know what they are supporting. These folks are all well and good when needing support but when they get it they turn into monsters. And sadly the collecting community have to accept a role in encouraging such behaviours. I was on this very board when Zombie went on a rampage of now deleted posts and he has the nerve to call others sad and pathetic, the man needs a good long look in the mirror. Enough said on the matter.

The ring I feel will need to be simple and maybe add the fabric ring aprons for that one Hasbro ad. If he plants a big ZST logo on that canvas, it will be useless.

I agree on the limited appeal on the ring. Given that the prices are 40 a figure, I can't imagine it will be cheaper than buying a Retro ring on the secondary market

Given that the prices are 40 a figure, I can't imagine it will be cheaper than buying a Retro ring on the secondary market The mattel retro sold recently for £70, as I say hasbro was £140 I can’t see a zombie one being less than what, £250? If there figures are £40 involve less tooling and loads more will be bought there’s gonna be a premium for the ring. Unfortunately because of his association with people like Matt, Bryan snd mark and things like high cost crowd finders etc I think it’s possible to lose sight of how many people have the space for another ring and willing to spend that much (willing to spend doesn’t = being able to afford to spend, there’s a difference between able and willing) He can’t use any wwe / wwf branding snd how he had plastered his logo all over the cards I can see a bit zst logo on the ring. I’d he losing sight of people are not buying the figures because they’re zst but because they want those wrestlers

Growing up as a Hasbro kid I was never a fam of the ring and used many others. None was perfect so I always came back to the Hasbro ring. The biggest issue I had with the Hasbro ring were the sides. Ring stairs, announcetable and the belt table. These things were all totally out of scale. Even worse they simply shouldn’t have been there (at least the two tables). Further I didn’t like the big WWF logo on the ring mat as it was not accurate. I didn’t mint the squared ring posts because they were an upgrade for playvalue, but when I learned years later that there were more accurate ring posts - even in blue - over there in the USA, I was kind of disappointed. My personal ring would be as close as possible to the old WWF ring. A scaled down WWE Ultimate Arena ring would be perfect.

Yeah into the late 80s they still did use a table ringside and I think the ring was dated 89? So presumably they were using reference shots from a year or two before that so I can get why the tables there but it is outdated by the time the ring comes out. I thought the retro ring would be cool with the table and steps being removable but it just left a big hole which I thought looked even worse. Not sure why they didn’t make the side a plain piece with no hole but have a clip bottom of the steps / table to clip them onto the side I do appreciate the ring being ‘gimmick’ free though. The galoob had the launch thing, the bendies was a carry case with a ring added to it, jakks had a lot of gimmicky launch pads etc, mattel do the annoying break away or spring. At least hasbro was just solid ring and sturdy as hell! My old ring has been used for the last 5 or so years by my kids, all I needed to get was replacement ropes as the old ones sagged but the ring itself has been through all sorts been chucked around, sat in and it’s still fine

Honest question for anyone…
By what Day would ZST know if Series 1 will be in our hands by Feb 28th?
The reason I ask is when that day comes will ZST put out an announcement or would he wait until 2/28 to give a new eta?

I would like to think they'll be in hand by the end of February, but I just don't know if it will happen. It's unfortunate, but I'm really hoping for all you guys that have ordered that there's no more date changes and stalling on them.
