That looks really good. The green on the tights looks really cool, shiny. Mattel needs to use that same type of paint for certain colors like gold or silver (and for Ted DiBiase figures when he's in his tux).

Do like the cut out and keep card.
I do think the back (much like the front) it too busy though - and too much stock is being put on Ron’s involvement - do we need his sketch on the back? If the figure looks great (which this does) why does it matter who designed it?
Mattel imo have nailed it with their new card backs - these figures look better with the more authentic line drawings imo thst photos of the figures
Also again he’s taken His time revising the shipping date

With complete sincerity, what the is up with the white gloves? Does he have Scleroderma? I can't remember for sure, but I believe he used them originally to keep smudges and prints off of items he was selling/handling. It has become a signature of his as a running joke and to promote the care in which he treats things. That is my understanding of it, anyway.

I would have liked to see it in black and white as well but the color version doesn't look bad either. Mattel Retro Series 11 (and hopefully beyond) have done a great job. I still want to know how thick the actual cards are this time!

That’s different and gives the card it’s own unique take. We don’t need that + the pic of the figure. Either or but I’d go with the squares Also really don’t get the need for the blueprint, it’s what your eye is immediately drawn to being a big white space. He should be trying to draw your eye to the other figures in the line

Also I get he’s proud of his work but there’s 3 ZST logos on the front alone + H&F logo + Ron Rudatt call out and then on zac and curts there’s their pod logo too

Hadn’t noticed there were three logos on the front. I really don’t care for the fourth/MWFP logo but I’m not mad about it/won’t be owning those MOC. Compared to Hasbros:
The first series had 1 WWF and 1 Hasbro. Other series contained those and an additional logo either with the SummerSlam promotion or the WWF Official logo in the bottom left corner.
This doesn’t include the foreign cards and whatnot.
I don’t believe there are any American cards that have 3 logos on the front. However, the ZST card is somewhat cleaner as there is no “Real Wrestling Action” on the right side.

Yeah I mean as a kid you rip the card open and play with the toy but as an adult I think the summerslam corner piece really throws off the look of the card.

Back of the card with the cut out and the figures and small pictures is enough, the addition of the drawing makes it look terrible. You have all this nice colour and really fresh looking pictures, then smack bang in the middle you have an oversized drawing.
I’m gonna say it, I think It’s only because he’s been paying for it so might as well use it as not to waste his money. I’m sorry, but it’s completely unnecessary for the artist to be featured on the card.

I forgot to add this to one of my previous posts so I’ll use what you wrote to bring it back up: I wish he had gone with Black and white BECAUSE of the drawing. I think it could have been photoshopped nicely into place and not stick out as much if you were to put it where the figure’s action instructions were. That would have flowed really well. Maybe Josh will be open to feedback and make some changes in the future.

Look at it this way, if the figure was rubbish, would the fact it was designed by Ron make it any less rubbish? Likewise if a figure is good, does the designer add more gravitas to it? IMO I don’t care if it’s designed by Ron (who let’s face it is doing it for a pay day - he couldn’t be more disinterested in the wwf work he did)

The cards still look like they are a sales pitch themselves. All of the components jumbled together are actually things that work quite well in isolation throughout a marketing exercise but the finished product itself doesn't need the history and selling points included as though it's an advert. If you've already ordered them then you are already sold on the idea so the final product should be simpler in it's execution.

I think the sketches are the best part of the card, by a lot 🤷♀️

I don't think it looks good on card. I wonder how it looks next to Hasbros -- looking forward to seeing in person images...
