Not the biggest new generation fan. Wrestling died the first time around then lol. But I would buy: Lawler is an easy choice. I’d rather have Men on a Mission Mabel Bob Backlund LT would be cool. I never thought about him having a fig before. I think I’d rather have an elite. And I hate the Giants. Go Redskins. Double J. Who are the Redskins? 😂 The nightmare I haven’t been able to wake up from for the last 30 years. |

Great thread -- and I think looking at the choices, you can see why some people are disappointed by the lack of Legends we've gotten, and instead only get more of the usuals...
I understand why (no merch deal, worries they won't sell well) -- but how cool would so many of these be?!

The legends deals are out of Mattel’s hands obviously. There are probably so many factors we don’t even know about...but as a collector - this is absolutely one of the most frustrating things to experience. This is just a sampling of what could have been. This didn’t include all of the extra personalities, tag teams, new gimmicks, or “redos” of guys who already had Hasbros.
Who knows? Maybe it will happen over time. I’m grateful for every figure we get at this point...but I still have my preference.

Pillman is a huge hole to fill. I hope it happens. A new gen Dave’s boy is also much needed. Lex Express would be great too.

I didn't think of Henry Godwinn but it would be cool if they combine him with Phineas brought the Godwinn's back as a tagteam set and throw in slop bucket. Heck a Hillbilly Jim figure would be cool too, but sort of falls out of this timeframe.

If I could, I'd love to have the complete roster from like 87-95/96. Well maybe sans guys that were only in for a cup of coffee. It is a great time to be a Hasbro fan though. My hopes are we get the bigger names that have deals from Mattel, and then the lesser names that don't have deals w/ WWE come from Zombie and Chella. |
