I been thinking about this lately; is there Wrestling video game you connect to a fond time; or brings special certain feeling. I was listening to SVR 2007 soundtrack; and it really screams that Late 00's vibe. And reminds me of being in grade school jamming out to the songs. Selecting all my favorite wrestlers; and finding the arenas are so cool. Or designing the backstage. I think to me SVR 2007 will always be that special game for me. It captures being a kid in the late 00's to me. And I feel 8 years old again playing it.
The loading times haven't aged well I will say that. I love all of the SVR's from the first until 2010. I didn't care much for SVR 2011. But; SVR capture the perfect feeling of being fan in the late 00's. But; SVR 2007 is the highlight.

Great topic man,
I have to say WWF In Your House for the PlayStation.... hear me out
I was a huge fan during the New Generation era and WrestleMania The Arcade Game was and still is one of my all time favorite wrestling games so when I heard about the "sequel" In Your House I could not have been any more excited for it. I got this at Christmas along with Tomb Raider, Crash Bandicoot and Die Hard Trilogy, but it was In Your House I was most excited to get, which is kind of crazy when you think about it in comparison to those three other games.
I think the fact I was a huge fan of this time period and so were my closest friends made the anticipation and excitement for WWF In Your House even more special. That Christmas when I got the game it was awesome, I remember playing it late Christmas night while stuffing my face with chocolate and Pringles, trying to see as many of the FMV endings as I could. Granted, I soon realized that it was nowhere near as special or good as WrestleMania The Arcade Game, but I do have this very fond memory of the lead up and that Christmas day with the game so it quite often pops into my mind.

Probably the Smackdown vs. Raw games on Xbox 360 because I played them online with my friend(s) constantly. We'd always around and if people were being cheesy, we knew of a glitch to go into the crowd and stretch the screen. So if we got into a lame online match, we'd just it up. lol But I probably have more fond memories going back to Wrestlemania 2000. I played the hell out of that game, replayed the Royal Rumble in story mode to try to beat it and see if it would change an outcome like 100 times until I beat it. Being so impressed by the roster. Creating CAWs like crazy right up until the day No Mercy came out. Essentially, everything from WM2000 turned into No Mercy. All the CAWs were in the game already. The roster was amazing. The added match types were all great. Controls were perfect as usual with those games. Just felt like riding a bike. One of the biggest gaming bummers to me is the fact they never released the would-be sequel to No Mercy (WWF Backlash, I think)... I know there's a screencap out there somewhere with a Hell in the Cell shot.

Also, the same AKI engine for those games has been modded like crazy. WCW: Feel the Bang! is an AMAZING WWF No Mercy mod that features WCW and represents it perfectly. It can be played on a computer emulator and you can even load up everyone's real entrance music if you follow the instructions and download the stuff needed to load it up (it's a little tricky but easy once you do it once or twice). There's also a retro version with WWF rosters/arenas and different stuff from the early '90s/late '80s I think. I forget the name of that one, but it's equally as impressive and even has some commentary from Jesse the Body and Gorilla Monsoon, I believe. (Just a loop type of thing... similar to the SDVR announcing with Taz and Michael Cole that was very bland.) Also has real ring music if you load it up. I think that one is called WWF Legends. This video has info on it all. So yeah, the No Mercy/Wrestlemania and WCW Aki games all hold a really tight place. This video has a lot of info on the mods. Some are hard to find now... there was an ECW one I can't find.

It's got to be SmackDown 2 for me.
My brother and I used to play on that every Friday night for about 4 years. That game was (and still is) THE wrestling game to me.
