In 1998, Shane McMahon was the entire reason I started watching wrestling in the first place. I was 15 and from the moment I saw him on Sunday Night Heat while flippin channels, I was hooked.
In 2003, Shane McMahon, and the (IMO) Absurdity of his feud with Kane was the reason I stopped watching wrestling. When I watched the car battery incident, I put the show on warning. When they had their dinner date, I knew I was done.
And in 2016, Shane's triumphant return to the company brought me back in again. Wrestlemania 32 was the first PPV I watched live in over a decade and it felt so good.
Time and time again, Shane O Mac has been the reason.
He is and always will be my favorite wrestling personality.
That said, if you want favorite "Wrestler"... I don't think I ever had one before I started digging into Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens' back catalogues. Now I'd have to say that Sami Zayn is my favorite wrestler but only because El Generico is taking a hiatus from the ring to look after the orphans in Tijuana.

growing up, the Rock was my #1 all time.
as a teen, CM Punk took that spot and held it.
when they finally feuded, i felt like the Rock was bottled lightening; catchphrases and signature moves-and i felt like Punk WAS a more fluid performer. his promos made a point, not just a pop and his moveset was more realistic, whereas Rock felt like a video game character just going throught the motions and reaching for HIS signature stuff.

Bret Hart. Yes, however my view changed when I read his book. As a husband and father, I have to question is private decisions („pirate‘s finally in paradise“). But the wrestler and entertainer ist still unmatched.
My first PPV on TV was WM IX - fanatastic! My first match I watched was LOD vs Natural Disasters - what a collusion! one year later I remember seeing Hogan vs Flair at Clash of the Champions, which was a great show aswell. Hogan debuting in WCW was a huge thing back than.

Kane/Taker & Jericho were my favourites when I started watching in 2001. They're still my top 3, I'll never let go of the nostalgia attached to them and they're 3 of my favourite in ring performers of all time.
