Ok, let me get this straight. SDCC Exclusive Slaughter... Sold out in minutes Amazon Exclusive Hogan... Link posted briefly and then taken down Walmart Exclusive Hollywood Piper... Sold out in minutes Thank god the more popular figures are easier to get, like Mae Young.
Mattel talks about hitting grand slams in these videos, but from my perspective it's a total shutout against the fans.

No, they're finished and ready to ship. They just are not, for some reason. actionfigure attack on instagram says they will ship in a few weeks. So not sure why they put January unless thats for uK people Thanks! |

i wish mattel would throw ringside a bone and let them have a few hundred of those Ultimate Slaughters, i'd buy em from ringside for $60 in a heartbeat

Ugh, I have to go into surgery here soon. I’ll have my mom and brother constantly checking for me until I’m out of recovery, wish me luck…and good luck to you all!

It’s that ‘92 Piper I’m more concerned with Nothing is hard to get unless it’s as soon as they start hitting shelves, 2-3 months from now EVERYTHING coming out right now will be $30 tops on eBay. I have yet to have a problem finding a legend series guy online or in stores (besides Ted Dibiase) and I’m sure he was online at some point for around $30. We all know these legends pre orders are gonna be hard to get because of scalpers, it’s not the collectors. Anything that they can get early and sale for $200 they’ll do it. I just talked to a guy on eBay selling a chase Brutus didn’t know anything about the figure other than having it listed for $70. After he found out it was a chase he moved the price up to $100. |

Production numbers have always been a closely guarded secret but I’d love to see where some of these preorders come in at. How many collectors do we think were refreshing Amazon the moment(s) Hardy and Hogan hit with no notice? 10,000? No shot. 5,000? 1,000?
Same with the Walmart Hollywood Piper figure. No notice. Sure, word spread here, on Twitter, Facebook… but it was 10 AM EST. Over half the country was still sleeping.
With only a pedestrian view, which - without data - that is what we all have, it seems a little… off.

The fact that I’m in a surgery gown and on my phone and iPad on a message board and refreshing target’s app every few seconds until they get me and roll me down might be a sign that I might need to reevaluate some things in life, or just chill and pay resell in a few months.

But again, us collectors can’t get these figures because we have scalpers who are to lazy and sorry to get a real job, so we’re the ones who can’t get stuff that we want for our collection. Mattel could easily figure out how to get figures to it’s real collectors without scalpers buying everything up . Mattel keeps saying year after year their trying everything in their power to do that, but yet year after year all they’ve done was make it harder. Ringside is the only place real collectors have a chance with. |
