If you look closely at that still from the vid, they look dark blue like the render. They look very black to me, but to each their own. Dark blue can easily look black, and there isn’t great lighting around the figure to really tell. Not sure, but in this image the shorts look like a dark navy blue. The shorts look lighter than the shin guard/kneepad parts that are black. But maybe my eyes are failing me.   I believe it's just a lighter black compared to his socks. The chase is 100% 97. Shawn wore wrist tape in 03, not the hand wraps. The chase also has the Heartbreak Kid logo on the tights. Which he didn’t wear in his return since he switched that to Shawn Michaels. The head is definitely more 03 looking but they can only change the attires on the chase, not anything else. Oh crap, you’re right. Why the hell didn’t they just make it the Rumble 2003 version!? haha, i didn’t even notice the wrist tape. No clue. They were trying to make two sets of fans happy I guess, but it would have made more sense to just do two versions from 03/04 because of the head. I put the extra head from the UE Shawn on the chase Basic. |

He only wore that attire once to my knowledge and it was a exclusive, they should have made a new head or use the WrestleMania 14 head at least. The Ultimate extra head works pretty good though, it has the right hair. Yea I just assumed it was the Rumble one because of the sculpt and the standard release was an ‘03. |

Hockey pants have a slick nylon, somewhat shiny for a lack of a better term, look to them. Socks, especially at that time, are heavy woven cotton. So they would absolutely look like two different colors of black by default.
It’s WWF in the 90s. Those pants could absolutely be navy. But the socks and the pants being two different shades isn’t weird if they are both in fact black, is all I’ll say.

I read somewhere that there's going to be a WCW The Boss chase version in his black attire but could not find any announcement/confirmation on that. Was that just a rumour? Thanks! I know we speculated that when we heard he would be the chase, but I don't recall seeing any confirmation. I'm actually not even sure if he's definitely the chase. |
