Scramble channel memories. When Hogan came out I never thought it’d be for a heel turn. The scramble came in clear enough to see the leg drop fall on Savage and shock set it.

I remember my friends and I had just gotten a satellite dish about two weeks earlier, but we didn't buy the Bash at the Beach PPV because of the cost. So the following night we have WCW Nitro on and I couldn't believe that it was Hulk Hogan as the third man.
I thought maybe Bret Hart, my buddy thought it was gonna be the 123 Kid, and even Lex Luger was talked about as the third man. But Hogan?! Amazing.
Hulk Hogan's heel turn was the best heel turn in WCW since Barry Windham's heel turn on Luger to join the Horsemen in 1988.

You humanoids know I'm not a Hogan fan but no doubt about it this is the greatest heel turn of all time.
Such a great visual with the trash all over the ring plus Tony's line of how he can go to hell.

He was sort of heel-ish and maybe a member of the DoD for months. A full turn to the far side wouldn’t have been implausible. At least it wasn’t Mabel.

I thought it was going to be either Hart or Sid, we hadn't seen either of those guys on TV for months prior. I especially thought it was going to be Sid after Hall and Nash said their next guy was going to be even bigger. I thought they meant size, not name recognition.
