I was born in 88 so this has been my viewing history of wrestling
grew up renting old ppvs from video store, watched Raw, superstars early min 90s,
would tune in to Nitro every now and then, was mostly WWF, went more WCW when NWO formed,
switched to WWF late 98 early 99, would catch ECW on TNN, stopped watching in 2000,
tune in randomly see Vince saying he bought WCW (had no idea ECW had gone under) watched invasion, quit watching again, started again when WWE brought ECW back, watched till about 2007,
watched for maybe 2 months in 2014, havent watched anything current since then

-Started watching WWF sometime in 1987
-Started watching WCW in 1991. I enjoyed it a lot more than the WWF throughout the rest of the 90s and stuck with it until the very end.
-Started watching ECW in 1997, but because of the horrible time slots it had in local syndication, I had to record the shows with a VCR.
-Watched TNA/Impact on and off since 2004.
-IMO, the WWE has been absolutely putrid since 2009.

then wwf in 1985 with the whole mtv & mr.t thing got me hooked
started on nwa in 1986 as well (and GLOW lol)
loved bill watts uwf in 1987 too
watched wwf all until about 2002 and wcw until it closed shop in 01

Also an '88 baby so similar timeline as OP here.
Started in early 94. (Pre WM X, because I know WM IX was the newest one when I started watching, hence its special place for me despite objectively being um, not great. Plus 5 year old me freaking loved casinos and gambling). I got started on wrestling at the suggestion of my mother. I loved boxing, but you couldn't exactly go to the Family Video and rent boxing PPVs. I watched all the Rocky's, but was disgusted to find they only had about 10 minutes of actual boxing in them.
Watched crazy obsessively until about 2001. For the most part I didn't like the attitude era. Loved early NWO WCW before it jumped the shark. Couldn't stand watching the weekly WWF show just watched the PPVs. Spent most of that time from 94-01 watching WWF/WCW from 85-95. Hunted down some old AWA/NWA tapes in town too. 88-92 were by far my favourite years, and I spent most of the time rewatching those 4 years. Loved what I could find of ECW.
Picked up again in 06 after finishing high school, watched until about '10.
Watched very sporadically between about '10 and '17.
Started watching again in '17. Started back with WWE when I found out that women wrestlers were actually a thing and they were done with the bra and panties BS. Started watching Impact early '18, branched out from there into finding random ROH & NJPW vids on youtube, and then from there it kind of exploded into catching up like crazy on the history of non WWE wrestling for the past 15 years. I think I'm well versed in NJPW/ROH history enough now that most people don't realize I never watched any of that stuff when it was originally going on.
Now I watch AEW religiously, Impact regularly, NJPW sporadically, and rotate 1 month subscriptions between IWTV, Highspots, ROH, and Stardom. I still watch some of the WWE PPV's and haven't missed a takeover. Watched NXT from late 2018 until about 3 months ago, but I think I've only maybe seen 1 episode in the last 3 months all the way through. I really only keep the WWE network to rewatch late 80's early 90'st stuff.

Started watching wrestling in 1989, first memory of wrestling was the SNME when Savage was thrown out onto Liz. Didn't really start watching wrestling religiously until mid 1991. Really got hooked onto wrestling when Jake's cobra bit Savage on Superstars. 1991 was also the first time I saw WCW. I didn't have cable until the mid 90s, just before Nitro started, so I didn't see any of the old NWA and AWA because their shows were all on cable until WCW started putting Power Hour (I think that is what it was called) on regular television. WWF at least had Superstars which aired on regular television. Pretty much from 1991 until about 2002 or 2003 I watched all the time. I even use to go to blockbuster to pick up and watch the PPVs (past and present) as well as the special VHS's like WrestleFest or UK Rampage. Around 2000-2003, wrestling was getting boring and predictable. My friend and I were starting to be able to tell when someone was going to make a run-in, when the finish was coming, etc. It just wasn't as fun to watch anymore. It didn't help when WCW went under, it was always good to have options, though WCW the last year and a half of its existence was pretty unwatchable. Around 2006 I tried to start watching wrestling again but it just wasn't that good. I have watched off and on over the last decade plus but it just isn't getting any better. I'm not sure if its because I am getting older and things from my past just aren't as enjoyable as they use to be, or if wrestling is really that bad nowadays.

-Started watching with WrestleMania IV. Before this Hulk Hogan was all I knew. I received his LJN workout set as a gift in '87. Being that I was still in Quebec the tape was in French. I thought Hogan spoke French, which was shattered for me upon moving to the States and watching weekly.
-Watched WWF/E religiously from '88-mid '03
-Caught NWA/WCW infrequently until late 1990 when I caught Tom Zenk winning the TV title from Arn Anderson and was aboard until the end.
-Only got to see 1 episode of ECW (pre-TNN)while on vacation in Virginia. It was never on TV in my part of Maine.
-Around 2000 became a bit of a puro snob. Bob Sapp winning the IWGP killed that.
-'06- to today I've been a hot and cold viewer of the current product. Usually will keep it on as background noise, but I don't go out of my way.

Growing up it was all WWF/NWA/WCW. Being a Philly native, ECW was a must watch on the Sports Channel here.As years went on,I was able to get a hold of AWA,WCCW, Mid-ATL etc footage and now current day my video archives is extensive to say the least.
Stopped watching WWE in early 09 as their product just didnt interest me anymore.Never watched TNA but have thought bout watching the early years as they had names I was a fan of. We'll see if I ever pull the trigger on it lol
But yeah humanoids its old school all the way for me.I'll never stop watching the old days. What a time to be a fan

I started watching the old British World of Sport wrestling in the mid to late 80’s. As a kid, I was bored watching the plain looking guys and got more into the larger than life guys such as Big Daddy, Giant Haystacks, Kendo Nagasaki etc. Was gutted when it got cancelled in 1988. When we finally got satellite tv in late ’91, I got hooked on WWF straightaway. I had just missed SummerSlam, but I caught all the fallout. My first ppv was the Survivor Series, although my first event with a full card was Battle Royal at the Albert Hall which was shown on Sky Movies. Loved the British Bulldog, Roddy Piper, Randy Savage and of course Hulk Hogan and hated Ric Flair and Jake the Snake. My whole family was into the storyline with Savage and Jake and we enjoyed the side feud with Piper and Flair. I started watching WCW not long after although it didn’t seem like full access as I don’t think it was a main show and I had no access to ppv’s. I watched as much wrestling as I could and started buying the videotapes from Woolies (Woolworth’s) and started to catch up on some WWF history. I was hooked. It wasn’t until a few years later when the sport channels required a paid subscription that I was unable to watch Raw and thus had only recap shows to watch and when the Sky started to charge for the ppv’s I ended up missing a few. I still saw an awful lot and didn’t miss out too much. Nowadays, thanks to WWE Network, I watch ppv’s, NXT and NXT UK and will catch highlights of Raw and Smackdown on YouTube. I occasionally re-watch the older content too and try to get my 6 and 8 year old daughters to watch it with me! I don’t follow as closely as I used to since the pandemic, dunno why, but empty arenas make the product feel irrelevant somehow. Hopefully, it’ll start to pick-up now.

Became a fan in 2000. There was a video store near my Grandmothers house & this is where I got VHS tapes from 1999 PPVs. The video games also helped shape my fandom. From 2000-2007 I was hooked on WWF. VHS tapes, video games, action figures, magazines. Most of my friends were also big fans too so it was great. But by 2007 I was the only left that still watched.
I myself then stopped watching after the Benoit tragedy but briefly resumed for 6 months in mid 2008. Off & on viewing & figure collecting ever since then. The years 2009, 2010, 2012 & 2019 I watched very little.

Born in 81, started watching in 89 when my grandparents who I lived with got a satellite dish and sky TV. This is not like the satalite dishes of today, this thing was freaking massive I would say easily four times the sizw of a current sky dish lol.
My first wrestling memory was watching a show that had Bret Hart wrestling Dino Bravo. I would watch it every chance I got and by the end of the year I was a die hard fan.
Here in the UK in the early days we got the PPVs on a delay and they were on Sky Movies as Sky Sports would not start for a few years. If I remember correctly, summer slam 92 was when the PPV events switched to Sky Sports.

I was born in 1980
Started watching WWF in 1985 because my dad watched it
Could name off Hulk Hogan, JYD, Hillbilly Jim, Big John Studd, Roddy Piper, Iron Sheik and Nikolai Volkoff as my first wrestlers that I knew
Watched Wrestling Challenge in 1987. Finally watched WWF Superstars of Wrestling in 1988.
First SNME I remember seeing was in January 1988 when Andre chocked out Hogan setting up for the Main Event match a month later
Watched WWE steady and strong from then until 2001, after that I would still watch it but if I missed an episode I wouldn't care.
Started watching NWA in late 1987
First real memory of NWA was the match where Barry Windham turned on Lex Luger to join the Horsemen
Watched NWA become WCW and kept watching until the end of summer 1991
Didn't watch WCW from September 1991 - September 1992 because no TV channel I got carried WCW anymore
Started watching it again in September 1992 because a TV channel picked up WCW World Wide
Kept watching WCW until 2001 when it ended
First episode of ECW I watched was in January 1994 when it finally aired on a TV station I got
Watched it until the end of summer 1994 when it stopped airing on that TV station
Started up watching it again December 1996 when we got a satellite dish to watch it on
Watched ECW Hardcore TV until October 1999 when it stopped airing on the TV station it was on
Watched ECW on TNN from August 1999 - September 2000
Watched USWA in 1989 - 1990
Stopped watching it when it went off the TV station, but started up again in 1993 when it appeared again
Kept watching it until it ended in 1997
Watched Smoky Mountain Wrestling starting in 1993
Kept watching it until it ended in 1995
Sadly I never seen an AWA show back in the 80s or early 90s.

I was born in 1985 and was introduced to WWF wrestling when I was 7 or 8 years old.
At the time I had no way of watching wrestling at home, but my parents bought most Royal Rumble and Survivor Series events (my favourite PPVs) when they were released on VHS, although the very first wrestling video I had was "Smack 'Em, Whack 'Em". Most weekends my dad would take me to a local video rental store which stocked most of the older PPVs from 1988 to 1993, and we rented all of them countless times. My favourite was always the 1992 Royal Rumble. I also really enjoyed the RR events from 1991 and 1993.
I was obsessed with wrestling until about 1998, but completely lost interest during the attitude era. I also stopped watching "old" wrestling around this time.
Fast forward many years to the start of the covid pandemic. During "lockdown" I started watching random wrestling matches from the 80s and early 90s on Youtube, which rebooted my interest in wrestling, and over the past couple of years I've been watching quite a lot on the WWE Network. I started with ECW events, but to be honest I hated almost all of them. I've also watched some TNA and Shimmer Women Athletes. Nothing beats old school WWF though. Now I am in the process of going through all the PPVs I have fond memories of, mixed with some I haven't seen before, in no particular order. Apart from Royal Rumble 1992, which holds a special place in my heart. It'll be last.

I graduated HS in 1985. lol
I started watching wrestling in the mid 70’s. It was the WWWF back then. Then in the 80’s my grandparents got cable so we were there every weekend watching the NWA on TBS. So it was always the WWF & NWA/WCW. During the MNW I would watch WCW. The only WWF I was watching then were the PPV’s. I didn’t start watching weekly WWE programming again until Vince bought WCW.
Never could get into ECW because it aired at 2 or 3 in the morning and I had to be up to drive for UPS the following morning. Plus I hated the informercial feel to their filming.

First I remember watching was wwf in 85 when I was 7 or 8 years old. I had an older brother and I had mtv. Hogan was my champ and I followed him until he left then company.
In middle/high school wrestling wasn’t as cool. I hated the new gen. I only casually watched wcw on cable at that point until Hogan arrived.
I again followed Hogan from then through my first couple years of college.
In 98 I was 20 and that’s when the attitude era hit for me. Finally I moved on from Hogan. But that was the beginning of the end because I only watched until 2000 and I have never watched wrestling since (only the archives 85-00).

I was born in 82. I started watching when I was very young in the mid to late 80s. I don’t know why I stopped watching but in 1991 I got back into it and have been a steady pro wrestling fan since. WWF/E I was a diehard fan from 1991-2006. I watched wcw from 91-01 and ecw from 95-01. Thanks to dvds and stuff I’ve watched lots of mid south, wccw, NWA Crockett, and SMW and love it! Today I mostly just watch AEW and have caught some modern NWA which is a throwback really to old NWA.

Born in 1990. Began watching in 1994 with Bret on top of the WWF. I started watching WCW not long after that and watched religiously until about 2006 when I began to turn out of the WWF. Luckily TNA was around to keep my interest until about 2010 when I started to watch the WWE again.

Born in 1993.
- Started watching in 2001, Wrestlemania 17 was the first event I ever seen. Friends were so into it that my dad recorded it and we watched it after school. Hooked on wrestling since then. - Watched WWE and TNA up until about 2007 when I was a teenager and moved to my dads where I only had access to the DVD's I had as we didn't have any sky to watch. - When I moved back in 2010 I was big time into the current product but around 2015 I lost interest. I gave up on TNA after the Aces and Eights stuff ended. - I still watch a lot of Wrestling, but not so much the current product. Only current WWE I watch is the monthly PPV's with my cousin, have no urge to watch weekly as it's just not for me. - Never watched AEW and don't watch anything elsewhere.

Born in 1990.
Started watching in '98 primarily because of the Attitude Era and the Goldberg buzz from WCW. Watched TNA from about 2005 until very early 2014 (I could see the end coming when Sting left, Styles left, Hogan took over then left, etc...) Watched WWE religiously up until about 2016. Now its become more of a chore to sit through an entire show. Most guys/gals on the roster just don't hold interest anymore.
I primarily watch the network nowadays. Living vicariously through the nostalgia shows and the documentaries/original pieces that are usually pretty enjoyable.

Started in the territory days with WCCW in 84 or 85 since their TV was shown in my area. No way to remember which year for sure. Started hearing about Hogan in 85. I remember watching WrestleMania 2 either live on ppv or shortly after it was live on a video tape or somehow. By summer 86 I was hooked on WWF. I still watched WCCW and also got Pro Wrestling USA on tv. When Warrior debuted in WWF I remembered him as Dingo. And I knew One Man Gang from PWUSA. I also saw Crockett/ NWA/WCW on cable, but that always seemed like a 2nd hand program to me. It didn’t have the production or characters that New York had, and I was hooked on that. So I didn’t really follow WCW but watched it on Saturdays if there was nothing else to do. Started losing interest late summer 91 and had stopped watching before Mania 8. A guy at school told me about Warrior returning at the PPV so I started watching again but stopped by May or June. Every once in a while I would check in to see what was happening. I remember Hogan signing with WCW in 94 and was for some reason watching live when Hall came out of the crowd on Nitro. Sporadically watched WCW thru 99. Then fell out until I heard of Punks pipebomb, was that 2011? Loosely followed WWE until late 2014-ish I think. But by then I was watching Lucha Underground and ROH. And now I mostly just watch AAA and some CMLL.
