RIP Cindy Heenan RIP. I think she, along with all of his fans, are the two things that gave him the drive to fight through his illness as long as he did. |

Still shake my head at how badly they botched this Yeah, it is amazing how they completely botched this. The build-up was so well done. Not only did they mess up the Sting feud with Hogan, but they completely ruined what could have been a great feud with Hart. And by all accounts, it was solely Hogan's doing. I watched a shoot video with Kevin Sullivan where he says that he pitched numerous ideas of a feud with Bret to Hogan, and all he got was... that doesn't work for me, brother! And on some ridiculous notion that Bret Hart use to job to Hogan back in the eighties... By not putting Bret in the mix with Sting and Hogan for the title from the get-go and putting him in matches with undercard guys from the NWO and WCW on Nitro and Thunder, it really killed all the momentum that Bret had coming into the company. Such a shame. Every week they should have been building to Hogan/Bret. Bret could have been running the gauntlet through the NWO while they were finishing up the Hogan/Sting feud, beating all the members until he finally gets a match with Hogan. |
