Great pic. This is a rare look at their mostly black attire during their babyface days. I believe this was at an MSG event in March of 1991. They wrestled Earthquake and Dino Bravo in these attires at MSG. |

I think the fact that LOD never getting revenge against DX hurt them going forward. This beatdown plus them not winning the belts back and getting revenge like you mentioned was pretty it for em.No ''2000'' repackage was gonna save em at that point |

I’m presuming that’s some sort of wrestling camp. Would be interesting to know if there are any famous faces among the students. Cant say I recognise anyone. |

A few observations:
That Bobby Heenan WCW magazine photo makes me wonder if he had cancer early on and just didn't know it. His face looks more like it did when he was sick in the early 2000s, pre jaw surgery. I thought it was something like a lifetime achievement award until I read the caption.
It also didn't help LOD that they were losing to two guys who lost so many matches, except when losing to each other, for almost a year. If Billy or Jesse James won matches they weren't very prominent. It was like Skip losing to Barry Horowitz.
The Orndorff photo is from the Power Plant which is mostly known for Dwayne Bruce's style of training but wiki shows that a few other trainers weren't exactly great either.
I have no doubt the whole Fink/Wippleman feud was the brainchild of Vince, seeing these two smaller, weaker looking guys go at it. Why Vince was so disrespectful to a loyal employee and sweet man like Fink years later is sickening. And allowing him to be in Wrestler's Court is sick.
