What is this footage from, Brain? I thought the Main Event was the only time we saw Ted DiBiase with the belt around his waist. Was this a tryout, like with Lex Luger, to see the response of the crowd? He was recognized as the champ for a week and defended the title vs. Bam Bam at house shows before being stripped of the title. |

They had another match at the Boston Garden: Both say 2/6/1988. This would have been 1 day after The Main Event when Andre pinned Hogan and gave the belt to DiBiase. Correct. These were the only televised matches he had with the belt |

As much of a Hogan fanboy as I was, even I thought it was time to give Hogan a break from the top or just in general. Heck I really bought that WM8 was his swan song. |
