i dunno if itโs just me, but it seems weird to see hawk with a face paint design other than his 2 most well known ones. did he have any other ones besides those and the one in that picture? i know he had one that was a variation/early version of his main wwf design, so i donโt really count that as completely different

brother they had many many different designs!
initially it was like full on finger painting lines, line native Americans.
i believe the designs we are most familiar one were mostly used after they copyrighted them accordingly.
i always found it funny how good these huge men were able to put 'make up' on their face!

The guy who drove the ring carts at Wrestlemania III and VI is an unsung hero. That made such an awesome visual for those shows, especially VI since the colors blended with wrestlers getting more colorful.
Old school fans talk down about Harley Race getting the King gimmick but I can't see him in Bob Backlund like gear getting an extended push with WWF. The King gimmick prolonged his life there, I think.
I feel like Hawk had the full face paint in the early run just as much as the more famous one. When they first came to WWF, he had that full face paint as well. It made the Superstars magazine and also a cover of a coloring book at the time. I don't know if it was right as they debuted or after Summerslam because every PPV he was at, he had the red and black usual look.

Gotta feel bad for Taker, as a young guy, believing the bs Hogan fed him about that spot.
