The only way I'm happy with this is if he calls out Lashley but Riddle comes out and legit kicks his ass. I can't stand Riddle, but I'm all for this.

I never understood why Vince loves Goldberg so much.
Goldberg was a WCW creation, a WCW wrestler, reeks completely of WCW no matter what.
Yet, Vince will constantly push him down our throats even when Goldberg is old and retired.
Yet, every WCW wrestler that came into the WWE was buried at first for years before getting a push, or just buried completely without ever getting that push.
But not Goldberg.... so weird.

It annoys me because he had Kurt who was a bigger legend but there was still bad feelings there from 2006. Sure Angle had lost a step but who is to say he wouldn't be having better matches than Goldberg was in that position. But Bill as you said was booked super strong while Kurt was jobbed out & squished like a bug. Sad & disrespectful.

Last time we saw his old ass he randomly showed up to challenge and lose to Drew. On what grounds is he able to randomly show up 6 months later and get another title shot? On the grounds of his ability to make the marks REEEEEEEEE. He’s a star, people get invested when he’s involved. Lashley vs Kofi doesn’t get threads like this. Goldberg turns up and people care.

I know people loved it, but I found it hard to watch Mcintyre destroy Angle on their Raw match. Even during the rest of his final run they booked him like an old man who lost his touch. Yet even on Angles worst day he could put on a better match then Goldberg. It really annoys me that Goldberg is made to look like a star while Angle was jobbed out.

Absolutely, it hurt me alot because Kurt was my hero growing up. I barely watched any of him in TNA due to the hope I would one day see him back at his best in WWE. The McIntyre squash turned me off the product for a while then the Wrestlemania match, I just shut the show off once the match & his farewell was over. I was super upset with how he went off. The way he was treated during the whole final run is just something I cannot forgive Vince for.

There is only ONE Goldberg match I wanna see in WWE and that's Goldberg Vs Riddle.
Other than that I'd be happy with Goldberg Vs Sting for one last time but even as a fan I'm ready to see him go now.

I'm a Goldberg fan, but enough is enough. WM33 should've been the end of it.
100% spot on,I like Goldberg but his return and squash of Brock, then tossing him out of the Rumble and finally losing to Brock at Mania where they had a short 10 minute finisher fest match up was a solid way to end his career. He got redemption from his crapty end in '04 and return with a cool moment for his son, wife and fans by squashing Brock and again have a fun short match at Mania.
But now he's what 54 or 55 and has done the sametype of match he's been having since his return in '16 with diminishing returns. But I guess I get why Vince and company would go with Goldberg Vs. Lashley as a Plan B if they couldn't get Brock.

Hate to say it but would they bring Goldberg back to lose another match? He's only there to put over younger talent at this point.

I'm all for it, if it gets the title off Lashley. Lashley has not been a good champion. Goldberg was - and still is, a bigger draw than Lashley will ever be ... He would bring some legitimacy back to the belt, after Lashley diminished it.

I mean if he still gets pops and sell Merch who are we to say, and if it gives Lashley another big win. In the end it doesn’t really matter what we say on this board.

I appreciate a Goldberg appearance and squash here and there, but would really prefer they keep him out of the world title picture. There's no reason why Goldberg in 2021 (who has lost his previous two world title matches) should once again be getting a shot at one of the top belts.
