You left out the part where I mentioned with string attached. Despite’s the WWEs questionable booking of Bryan since WM35, he’s a big name for them, especially during a time when they seem to be short on talent after more releases. The WWE can match and exceed anything AEW throws at him, and likely would considering it wasn’t too long ago Vince was signing anyone and everyone to prevent them from going there. However, they won’t let him work other promotions like AEW will, and won’t give him the freedom over his character like AEW will. That’s why it basically comes down to money vs career legacy based on what we know. you went from being sure that wwe would match money wise to that they likely would in your last post above. that’s at least more reasonable. AEW is not limited financially, and it really comes down to how valuable WWE perceived him vs how valuable AEW perceives him to decide who the highest bidder would be. Daniel Bryan isn’t the Good Brothers, they’ll go to bat for him if the rumours are true. I never changed. I’m sure the WWE would match AEW’s offer considering his star power. I will take it with a grain of salt until reputable people back it up or report it themselves, but Ringside News is reporting with “their sources” that Punk to AEW is a done deal and it’s just a matter of getting together in person to sign the contract. So you know, grain of salt and all that.

Im honestly more excited for Thunder Rosa signing with AEW than Punk. Lol this!!!! I was excited to get her. The Good Doctor and her can really elevate the title ala Steamboat/Flair. Also, I would love Danielson and Punk to come in as some group with maybe the Briscoes or someone as this original Indy Darling group and try to put their foot down on this next generation. |

Since we're all happy up in here thinking about potential signings ... apparently Sami Zayn's deal ends in the fall. Would love to see him and KO leave. Both have been massively underutilized If they leave then AEW is gonna be even bigger than it already is. Loving the option of wrestling atm. NXT/Smackdown/AEW are killing it |

I feel like if it is true, it’s going to be a very short run where he works a few people he wants that can help carry towards a decent match. I think he just wants a better ending for his career. Yeah they're pure garbage I don't trust anything from them. I like using their site to quickly scroll through news, but any time they report something from “their sources” it’s highly questionable. I kinda hope we don’t get confirmation from better sources though so that there’s still some mystery, even if we think he’s gonna show up we will still have doubts. Frankly even with confirmation a lot of us may still have doubts lol. I’ve always said I’ll believe it when I see it regarding a Punk comeback. |
