I'm sorry, but the logic here doesn't make sense. People keep saying buy it for $250, keep the stage and figures (if we get Doink, which requires 7,000) and sell the rest. But less than 1,000 people have bought this in three days. NO ONE wants the ring in any mass numbers -- so who are you going to sell the ring to? And at how much of a loss to yourself? Even if you can sell it for 100 (which is a huge if) -- you still paid $150 for the entrance stage and Diesel. This product is EXTREMELY over-priced. And the market has responded and confirmed that. Yup. People have often said that if users on here aren't satisfied with Mattel or the things that happen with the WWE Elite line, then they should just "vote with their wallet & not buy something they don't like." If this project doesn't get off the ground or hit all 3 tiers, it'll be because people did exactly that. Can't really complain about people choosing with their money what they will & will not support, can we?

To be honest, I want *that* ring. But I donโt want it from the New Gen era, nor do I want to pay $250. Iโd have a harder time saying no to a black and red attitude era set.

Truthfully the thing this ring has taught me the most is that a large portion of this forum have no idea what a crowdfunded project us and how it is run.

I really hope that the crowdfunding thing does get to 5K considering I already placed my order but if it does work I hope that we will eventually get a elimination chamber/hell in a cell

However, I think you are right on the bigger issue that the ring (as cool as it is) is the major impediment here. Not only from a price standpoint, but also from a space and display standpoint. I could be wrong, but it seems to me that majority of us don't incorporate many (if any) rings into our collection, so to many (not all) it seems superfluous at best. I think if this were $150 for Diesel and the stage (which can fit in my displays on a shelf or etc.), with the same #s and extra tiers, it would be much closer to the goal right now. That said, I do think this set has a better shot at getting to 5K than people think right now.

Its the fact 2 first in line ultimates but not everyone collects ultimates. The ring is great but its from the lowest earning era in wwf. Why we needed new characters this wasnt it. I was gonna back it abd sell diesel and doink but i already have 3 aew rings i can customize.
It did not appeal to the masses like say galactus being almost 3ft did.
Wrestling i would say is not as popular as comic book icons or nostalgic kids shows.
Hell in perspective the power rangers lighting collection has almost 100 figures with 90 being different characters and that line started less than 4 years ago. Mattel now into almost year 12 has double that but thats not alot of variety. The large exodus by wwe meant alot of people didnt get made contracts were wasted and never utilized.
And the mass produced guys are heels right now. We get a few die hard era figures but it gets boring getting 800 slight attire roman reigns. We only saw like 5-6 new characters when you add only maybe 15 guys to your collection in a year gets kinda boring. My rant is over

Iโll be waiting for the end of august to back this due to toy funds However I think this is worth the price, Iโm very surprised Mattel is even giving us LED lights, the wood panels and foam turnbuckles really do it for me, while I donโt need a diesel Iโm down to have another with the ultimate articulation. The stage is the big seller, I have 2 Scale Rings already & im currently modding a wardrobe frame to turn into arena displays to fit the scale rings. This would be the icing on the cake for what I have envisioned, Iโm skeptical about this hitting its target though.

If they announce the next fundraiser is for the Lex Express should this succeed, complete with Luger in USA windbreaker, Iโll back it right now

I think the ring and entrance are being under valued when compared to how this one is made compared to other rings and the size of the entrance and lights. I also won't be a person to say buy it just because. If it's not your thing then that's fine but if anyone is on the fence or wants it but doesn't like the fact that money is taken up front I think you should join because that would bump up numbers and motivate others to join. We also know that buyers hesitation then remorse when you can't get an item anymore is a real thing.

Since this one's more detailed, you could potentially say $125-150, maybe? But even at the highest end, that means you're paying $60 for a light-up entranceway. It's a nice piece, but it's basically just a plastic arch with LEDs in it. You could get miniature Christmas decorations that do the same thing for less (I know this firsthand - my mom collects Christmas stuff, so I've bought a lot of things like that in the past).

This would have been the perfect opportunity to do a Barber Shop Window set with Marty and Shawn.
Something like this is would have been perfect.
But with Marty being Marty, it wont happen.

Seems like this item was distinctly made for collectors like us who are on the wrestling figure forum-- and the overwhelming majority say its a flop.
I don't think we're getting another crowdfunded WWE item and that is the worst part of all this to me. I could name off 5 other projects that I promise would've been more successful than this and made a lot of people happy. But of course, we started with this failure of a set and that'll be it.
Let's just all accept it!

Did Mattel forget we wanted that HUGE entrance stage a few years ago? Bc it seemed like a lot more ppl was behind that. If u would of given us that as an option Iโm sure 5k would of been done by now

Right, but who doesnโt take the money up front. All of the crowdfunding campaigns Iโve ever seen have done it this exact way. What other way is there. You pay them with a pinky swear? A hand written IOU? Hasbro doesnโt take the money up front. Neither does Kickstarter. Only one I can think of that does is FIG

I asked for wrist tape. Youโre just getting greedy now. I was discussing this with a buddy of mine on IG, we both think it's a prototype done for the promotional art/video. It looks basic but chances are they'll dress it up more once the goal is met. I recall someone saying Diesel's glove would be a new mold too and it didn't look it on the proto It is. First time they've done a fist with a molded biker style glove

I just keep finding a way it seems, itโs ridiculous. That being said, if the Lex Express is made, Iโll reserve the damn thing a parking space in my lot if I have to haha (I live in an apartment).
