Because nobody who’s old enough to like Jake Roberts or collect that era , don’t care for a basic? I love this narrative. It comes up every time someone asks why we haven't gotten legend x, y, or z as a Basic. Someone asserts that nobody with any sort of awareness of such legends would ever lower themselves to buying Basics, and then somebody else inevitably stamps it out with the fact that they buy Basics because, believe it or not, people buy Basics. Mattel has put out like 4 Jakes in the past year, not counting the others that is already out, and you have people asking for basics? Lol Just buy the elite |

He once confirmed legends sting too. Steve said Crow Sting from L7 will eventually see release? I think they mean when word first came out about Sting not being under a WWE deal anymore it was said that the figure would still release. Then things changed and it didn't. |

Jake Roberts got a Basic years ago in the two pack with Dean Ambrose. And nothing since. I don’t buy elites. It’s time for a new basic with a more popular attire. |

I used to buy them while of waiting for the elite version or if I needed parts for a head/arm/hand/pad swap. Since they changed the articulation on basics, the only basics I bought were Dana Brooke, Rhyno, and suited figures. I hate the swivel elbows. ELBOWS DON’T SWIVEL! |

ITT: people who can't comprehend that collectibles, like just about everything else done or consumed in the interest of fun or pleasure, are subjective.
Who TF is really that put out over whether or not somebody else buys Basics?

They kinda phased out flashback basics for a while. Now you’ve seen em pop up in the main line sporadically, plus they’re in the championship showdown and PPV lines.

I put them on the shelf and don’t pose them so why would I pay extra for articulation I don’t use. Not everyone collects the same. No need to be disrespectful. |

I don't need the extra articulation either, but there's more of a difference than just that. I'm a big Jake fan though, so hopefully they do make another Basic...and an Ultimate! |
