Higher prices and still crappy distribution. Thank you Mattel, never change.

Maybe it's a hot take, but if prices go up, I'll be reassessing my collecting. Not saying I'd be done, but I will almost certainly be more selective. I don't need that 14th HBK or Macho.
My Hasbro buying has pretty much come to a hard stop since they jumped up to $23. It's not that I can't afford it - but for me I'd rather put that money into other hobbies. The value just isn't there.

I picked up a chase Jeff Hardy Elite today. I already have the regular so why did I need the same figure in different colors, because I was at Walmart and 15.97 didnāt seem so bad. If it was 22.99 no way am I buying it

Prices will go up because there is shortage on main supplies because of Covid-19 it happened to where i work they had to level up prices and we still doesn't get some merchandise because the main factory doesn't have raw material. Also because there is so many money going around at the same time and people not wanting to work because of all benefits.

Good golly this thread.
In all seriousness, prices go up. It happens. Sometimes they'll take a step backwards also, as the Walmart elites did a couple years back. My walmart still has regular elites at 15 bucks.
But yeah. Prices change. Happens.

The value just isn't there. I wonder if their transition to plastic-less packaging will lead to them reducing prices back to what they once were since it will be a reduced cost to make. Ah who am I kidding, they'll for sure keep the Price and now just have crapty packaging.

We don't know a) if this will apply to the WWE line and b) if Walmart or Target will pass along the increases. Retailers really like round numbers. That's why they've made a ton of cuts to the basic lines to keep the 9.99 price point. Not sure that the same will happen with Elites, but it's very clear that the tail wags the dog when it comes to Target and Walmart.

Iāve got a few holes to fill in the back catalogue for X-Men on the secondary market, but thatās it.

Here in Canada elites are 29.99 which is 24.00 American and Ultimate Edition are 39.99. Don't think these figures are worth paying over 30

Everything is going up. Costs of goods to make these figures are going up, so the figure prices are going up.
