One of the last times I went to TRU, I wore a New Day shirt, and this guy in a small ambulance beeped the New Day Rocks notes. That's all I got...I'll believe a TRU revival when I see it.

TRU closing was the worst thing that has ever happened to this hobby. One less place to shop , all the exclusives going to Target and Walmart which completely suck at stocking, and just the sheer volume of product in TRU made finding figures so much easier.

I wish but even if so, TRU will never be the same

Plus TRU was mainly all about toys or toy related items, so that was their main revenue, so they had to stock their toys. Not like other stores like Target or Walmart where toys are just a fraction.

I remember right around the time everyone was looking for the toys r us exclusive Christian, I saw bushwhackers, rick Martel, volkoff/sheik, and piper/Orton in the clearance bin. Never felt so much regret Ditto, except for the clearance bin part. I can’t believe I passed on those. Especially the Bushwhackers. I have the basics, but it isn’t the same and those hard plastic hats don’t fit their heads.

The kids and parents of the world need Toys R Us back. It was so much fun shopping for toys on a shelf than it was looking at a computer screen.

Toysrus stocking multiple cases at a time of every basic and elite wave instead of only one single case of whatever happens to be out every reset would be a blessing.
See, to Walmart (and a lesser degree Target) total sellthrough on every toy brand means never restock again until the next seasonal reset. I don't know why district and regional managers would walk through a store and see empty shelves and totally empty aisles and be okay with it. It looks awful. I don't know where the ball is being dropped but in 2021 a ton of adults collect now. It's not just for kids and these companies seem to be fine leaving money on the table. The only one happy right now is the scalper.

Because that money on the table is a fraction of a fraction of what they earn and the time and effort to actually put boots to the ground and have someone care about stocking such an insignifigant part of their business model isn't worth it. The toy section is there for 2 reasons, keep idiots like me and you coming to the store hoping for a toy and them hoping we leave with groceries too or its for cheap toys for children to apease them while their parent spend actual money on things the store actually cares about.

We desperately need toysrus back in some capacity.
Walmart other than there shippers are out of stock for weeks and weeks if not months.
Target has there 1 peg that can fit 4 frucking figures for legends and elites.
They both suck pretty equally right now. We need a third option other than ordering everything online.

The only good thing retail wise about Canada is that Toys R Us is still around and in full capacity.
