Bring in Punk as a Face/Heel?

IDK, I just don’t put much weight into that initial pop. The fans today will give a monster pop and then 10 minutes later they’ll be booing. I have no doubt he’ll get the biggest pop of the last decade, it’s just that it doesn’t last the night in wrestling today. Have him heel out on the fans, WTF, keep everyone off balance. He’s gonna get cheered anyway by a good portion of the audience just because he went heel, if he stays face he’ll be 80% boo’d by his 4th show.

So yes, I’m saying turn him heel in order to keep him baby face. 👍

Eh, I thoroughly believe wrestling fans are spoiled. Once we get him back it’ll be onto the next thing in 4 weeks. He’ll be getting boo’d if he doesn’t do something to keep fans guessing. Cody pioneered a new company to get wrestlers jobs and fans an alternative and he gets boo’d lol

Punk walks in the door full fledged heel and talks about how the wrestling industry had to BEG him to come back, you have a heel for life on that program. There is so much to play with there. The hardcore wrestling fan will still buy his t shirts. Most mainstream fans are gonna watch WWE, Punk will sell just as many t shirts in AEW as a baby face as he would a heel. Most AEW are already coming in as hardcore fans

I’d have Punk on the fence when he comes in, not a face or heel. people wouldn’t know his priority or prerogative and there’d be anxiety around that in the company.

in Omega/Page’s big encounter, have the elite try to get to the ring in different ways but consistently shut out as it leads to the match finish - Dark Order takes some of them out, Kazarian and Christian comes through for some aid, but finally it’s Punk that comes out and pulls the chair out of Omega’s hands for Omega to turn around and Page get the win

then begins punk vs the elite

He’s just in one or two episodes I’m pretty sure and really has nothing to do with the show from what Stephen Amell has said. There’s no way they’re getting a one time deal from Punk for a rampage appearance

This is a craptake. Why tf would Punk show up in a major wrestling company after 7 years to promote a freakin Starz show he isn’t even the star of.

If that were the case, I'd announce it and run the First Dance in a bigger venue.
