I was just thinking how Bobby Roode is long overdue at least a basic toy, as well as Dolph Ziggler. However, when I was looking back at Bobby Roodes last Mattel it was a Survivor Series elite that had the United States Championship. Is there a story behind this as Bobby Roode wasn't the United States Championship at the time of Survivor Series 2017?

Wasn't that set 2018? Roode was the US Champion early in the year. It's also the set where they tried to time the release along with actual Survivor Series by predicting the gear, or maybe they even asked the talent, but only Alexa actually wore her attire.

I got the Entrance Greats Bobby Roode for $9 on clearance at an area Target. I can't see ever needing another Bob Roode figure.

Mattel planned the set early in the year and got the wrestlers to come in dressed in the attire they were planning to wear, which is why we got Roode and AJ despite not being on the show

I think Bliss was sidelined due to concussion issues at the time, AJ was left off the card, which I think broke a very long streak of PPV appearances for him, and I think Roode was on the pre-show, but had gone from getting a pretty big push a year earlier to basically being an afterthought in the tag division. |

Roode wore that attire, but he was on the pre show. (I think)
AJ eventually wore that attire at Elimination Chamber 2019

Oh man that survivor series set was a great idea and so, so unlucky!
Like no one could’ve predicted AJ not being on one of the big 4s he was super hot! Alexia’s injury, roode falling down the pecking order etc
To have released a set so soon after the ppv with ppv attires would’ve been a first as far as I’m aware for any wrestling figure company and would’ve been great
