They buy from Mattel directly and they have a minimum number of cases they have to buy. From what I've heard, it is not a small number, something like 50-100 cases. From what I recall reading, Mattel has a minimum dollar purchasing requirement to have a direct account. From what I've heard, it's in the six figures, and higher than what other toy companies require. There are a few online retailers who do well with similar action figure lines who have looked into adding WWE and it's been VERY hard to secure a deal with Mattel. To the OP's question, places like RSC, Amazon, Target, etc obviously all have direct account with Mattel and then distribute it within their own supply chain. Places like 5 Below, Marshall's, etc are probably using 3rd party distributors who specialized in closeout merchandise. Regarding the distributors, that’s usually accurate. Not applying to WWE figures, but I deal with some grocery distributors. As an example, C&S Distributors purchases product from us. They then take that product and sell it to Winn Dixie, Bi-Lo, Weis Markets, Stop & Shop, Giant Food, and Giant Martin. It gets annoying to keep track of. Also, some larger retailers own subsidiary retailers. There’s a lot of changes all the time, so it’s hard to keep track of who owns who, but I think Walgreens now owns Rite Aid for example. It gets so annoying lol

Does anyone know what the WHOLESALE price is to retailers for Elites -- maybe $10.99 -- or you think it's higher?

Does anyone know what the WHOLESALE price is to retailers for Elites -- maybe $10.99 -- or you think it's higher? It depends on the amount you order and also from who you buy. But let's the Elite costs $20 in retail. Im sure you won't would it get lower then maybe $15.

Ringside pays a WHOLESALE price to Mattel. If they say to retailers, they are minor ones. I'm talking about the prices that Ringside, Walmart, Target, etc. pay Walmart.
Sometimes Manufacturer's price is 50% of Retail -- so I'm not sure it is 15 dollars. It could be less -- though I do think it may not be as low at 10

Well, I'm pretty sure that these huge companies are getting very good prices. Large quantities are sold there. I would say $10 is realistic, assuming a retail price of $20.

Wow didn’t know that….so if they buy 50-100 cases why is Walmart’s pegs always empty? …..I know some would say because of scalpers but if any other Walmart is like mine there’s never 50-100 cases worth of figures in the entire store much less on the pegs …..when & if any around me get shipments it’s usually a one shot deal with maybe a case or two that’s put out ….you gotta be in the right place at the right time or you can forget it because there are no restocks For big chain retailers each store doesn’t order cases. The company places the orders which are shipped to a main facility. And then they are distributed to all of their distribution centers. Who then split the cases to all the stores in their district. And let’s say if your local store has about 3-4 pegwarmers on the shelves or their system shows they have 3-4 figures on hand unless it’s the holiday season the distribution center isn’t going to send more until it’s under 3 pieces. But from what I understand to buy direct from Mattel a small retailer needs to have a tax ID for a retail store/online store. It could be one of those little kiosk but they need to have a tax ID. And then they need to order a certain amount of product for the whole year. It’s not 50-100 cases per set. It’s a certain amount of cases for the whole year.
