I just saw that Jeff Jarrett was released from his WWE contract in April. Which means he was probably under contract since his appearance with the company in 2018 or 2019. So why didn’t we get a single Jarrett figure?
Oh, and to make it clear, I assume if Mattel had the rights to make him, they would’ve put it in production immediately, so I’m mot blaming them.

Probably didn’t sign a Merch deal. He appeared on some of their original programming, and went into the HoF. Legends deal=/= merch deal.

There was a lawsuit between Jarrett and Anthem/Impact over his marketing rights that dragged on forever.
It was resolved semi-recently, but apparently he wasn't signed to any marketing deal.

For the longest time there was some kind of lawsuit with Anthem/TNA/whatever the deal was which wouldn’t have allowed for him to have merch like that, I believe.
Word is he’s not gone from WWE though, just a different deal that allows him to do things outside of the company. So, that could possibly mean a legends deal, right?

Being employed by the company does not automatically mean they have a merch/figure deal. In his case, he probably did not ever have one while being temporarily employed by them.

JJ was never under a deal so they were never able to start a figure of him. |

That sucks... I don't understand why WWE does not let Mattel go out and sign certain deals. I think they'd have an easier time signing someone like Kidman over Sabu. I also understand that being employed by the company also doesn't guarantee a deal too. Does anyone remember the exact details on how Jakks was able to sign all these guys?

lets be honest. Even if he was under a deal it would've taken them 2-3 years to release a figure. Quick isnt exactly something Mattel is when it comes to Legends.
