I backed it. But I backed it for the figures and the entrance stage. I could care less about the ring. It was an awful decision to include an item with such a high price that is usually not what the “adult collectors” go for. It’s mind-boggling. If the package had been Savage, Nash and the neon entrance at $150, no doubt in my mind we’re at 5k already.

i have no issues with the "WW" logo
we are almost at a point now where its been the WWE as long as it was the WWF. the old logo isn't used in promotion any longer, and hasnt been in forever. theres no way they would ever be able to anyway, you can blame the stupid world wildlife fund for that.

I'm not backing it anyway, but this just feels like nitpicking at this point. The logo was never a deciding factor in my choice of whether not to back it. That's what they've got to work with now.

This topic is ridiculous. If you’re not gonna back this because of the WW logo then you never were anyway. Insane the excuses being made. Ive also come to the conclusion that anyone making these petty excuses have no intention of buying it regardless. This post is ridiculous.

No. It doesn't matter to be honest regarding the WWF or WWE logo debate being used since lets face it would you want the WWF logo on TV with the way the WWE product has been for the last 18 years? I usually refer both the WWF and WWE as separate companies so the WWF era can be left intact and not be associated with the cr$p the WWE have aired on tv for many, many years in my mind.

It’s ridiculous that people don’t understand that WWE isn’t allowed to use that logo or they would be sued. Don’t you think Bill would love to make it with the F logo but obviously he can’t.

I think that my biggest issue is not the F missing rather it is the lack of a blurring/full illumination. The real WWF logo was made up of many different lines as you can see here: Mattel tried to stay true to this and make it pretty accurate: However, the WW logo is missing that filled in/blurred effect that the real life WWF neon stage had. I think they needed to spend some time trying to replicate that look a little better instead of going for physical accuracy.

Okay, now we're scraping the barrel in terms of threads about this project.

It’s been 20 years since the name change, this is ridiculous, just say you don’t want to buy it you don’t have to give a reason

No. I've already backed, and the logos are what they are. I miss WWF as well, but it's been nearly 20 years - we need to accept that we're never going to see that logo on official merchandise ever again.

It’s better than nothing. I wish the old logo was able to be used. Stupid pandas!! I’m backing it and haven’t really given the logo much thought to be honest.

Remove as completely remove the top part? Nah. But instead of WW just a light up neon box on top I think would be an improvement. I already backed it but I can’t stand the WW version of that logo. I’d rather have nothing than an inaccurate revision.

Or you can blame the McMahons for violating an agreement they signed with the World Wildlife Fund (and probably their legal team at the time for allowing them to sign an agreement with that many restrictions, and later for giving them bad advice on what they were allowed to do within its confines). Honestly, you can blame them for spending years building a business with initials that already belonged to an organization with a significant public presence. Because that's usually not a great idea. Titan losing the ability to use that name was definitely a when-not-if scenario.

If I still collected, I’d buy this in a heartbeat ... that is now having the inclusion of UE Macho Man, it’s worth the $250 price.
See, THAT goes to show you that Mattel was banking on huge profits and the gullible collectors biting on such an asinine price bEcAuSe nOStAlGia errmmyygaawwdd !
Amazing how they were all of a sudden able to “find room” to include far more in that $250 price point ... once their initial offen straight up bombed.
I don’t mind paying for quality, but when you pretty much put up an insulting price point like that, then there’s going to be an issue at that point.

I hate to be this person, but the price point really wasn’t insulting. Rings at that scale sell for about $100, so one with extra tooling like that is MSRP $120, an Ultimate is $30, and foot tall-scaled plays set full of LED lights like that is going for between $90 and $100 in stores easily. The issue wasn’t price, as much as it was misconstruing what people actually wanted and what they would consider the main selling points of the piece.

I’m at the age where it’s now been WWE longer than WWF during my lifetime.

I'm not backing this project. It has nothing to do with the F not being there on the entrance. To be honest, I didn't even notice it was missing. The F missing on the ring skirts is something I did notice and do dislike. However, not a reason not to not back this project.
Also, I do understand that there are legal trademark issues with using the WWF logo. I also understand that it is a dumb issue.

the thread shouldve been should they have done a "new generation" project. its almost the worst era of wwe/f ever to some critics. if this was an attitude set, it wouldve prob gotten to 3k by now. Diesel and Doink and even a 50th Macho Man figure is not a great selling point for me. the ring and entrance set is fine, but even that isnt something im glamouring to have. (i have a ESR already and the newer RAW.SD rings they just put out). i think thats prob curving alot of sales. people have rings and have no need for a 94 entrance way and another Diesel/Doink/Macho. no matter if there UE or not. just my 2 cents.

I think a nitro entrance and ring would have been more successful thus far than this has been.
