WWE is going to miss out on a lot of great wrestler because of this rule. I've worked setting up the Smackdown arena at my old job and I was pretty much taller than 90% of the roster and I'm only 5'11. Only dude who really stood out to me from a distance was Drew Mycintire , that guy was just huge.

I think its safe to say that none of us here, nor Meltzer or that other nitwit that works with him know what is going though Vince or Khan's head. Ill sit back and just wait to see what they do with NXT...If they kill it, they kill it....It wont be the first time they killed a wrestling brand/company I enjoyed.

NXT is my favourite show so I hope they dont change nothing. I never seen it in the early days but from what ive read here it sounds like id hate it.

I mean, they have great talent but the show has moved at a snails pace for years and everything backstage is over produced and goofy af. maybe start there.

I thought they meant going back to the
"named wrestler vs local jobber" format not the obstacle course BS!
I mean either which way, doesn't matter if you're a former NXT champion, you're still going to the main roster to put over has beens or chase the 24/7 championship.

I am legit stunned that people are blaming the Ciampa vs Gargano feud!!! This was the best storytelling, best matches and the most emotional storyline that had been in the WWE for a very, very long time. I cannot think of anything that has even come remotely close in the last ten years or so.

Either promote these guys to a major brand or let them go for good. They are not „next“ but „present“ guys and the question should be asked what to do with them. Raw and SD have a significant lack of new fresh faces. These guys either need to take their spot on Raw or SD or move on and make free spits on NXT for other guys to try. NXT originally wasn’t meant to be a permanent place. Ciampa for example is extremely high rated in my eyes, but if WWE doesn’t trust in his abilities to be a WWE Superstar both parties need to move on and part ways (I’d cry to be honest as I am a huge fan). Same for Cole, Gargano and all the others. In my eyes it is the only chance they have to revitalize their two major brands. The only reason I can see to keep guys like Joe on NXT is to use them as mentor/locker room leader. Great decision in my eyes. I will of course be sad about the inevitable coming releases of guys I enjoy watching, but I get their strategy. |
