I used to be a hardcore collector a few years ago, but now It's just a casual thing, buying them here and there. I've got probably about 400...give or take a few.

I actually just bought a few in the last couple weeks off Ebay....my personal favorite is the Crimson Guard. I also picked up a Sgt Slaughter GI joe figure. I have a pile at my parents house but most are pretty worn out with broken hands and crotch plates.

I had hundreds of them as a kid. I bought them all when they were actually released though. I had TOmax, Xamot, Sgt. SLaughter, Fridge, Cobra Bats, Serpentor, Destro....and, well, if they were a character, I had them. I used to use them for my wrestling federation when I was a kid. They were actually poseable and flexable enough to use for that purpose. I also used the AWA wrestling ring, which had a wooden base, with a cloth covering for the mat. The ring poles were wood, and the ropes were made of bungi-cord type material. That ring was the perfect size for G.I. Joes, yet ironically, it was too small for the figures it was designed for (AWA figures). I even used to use my tape player for entrance themes (most of which I made up myself, since a lot of people back then didn't even have themes). Unfortunately, when I became a young teenager around 1987, these figuers mostly became victoms to fire, b.b. gun, or other forms of destruction. I often times wish I still had the imagintion to use them for a wrestling federation again, but I jut don't have the imagination anymore. You can see the ring I used here: cgi.EBAY LINK NOT ALLOWED/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=2902&item=5117951319&rd=1&ssPageName=WDVW It even has The Road Warriors on the front.

I have a ton of Joes. I rarely use them as Joe or Cobra. I usually use them as armed thugs for super villains. Lately, I have had Cobra exist as a terrorist organization.

Yeah, I loved the Joe's from the 80's / early 90's, not these ones they sell today. I have a few rubbermade containers full of the older ones from when I was a kid. I had hundereds of figures, and almost all of the vehicles. P.S. I HATE the new Sigma 6, they are going to bring GI JOE to it's downfall.

i have to say i much prefer the new ones... they just look more realistic and the better articulation and joints make it much easier to take them apart and customise them.
