Why don't even top mid-carders wrestle on WWE Main Event compared to WWE Superstars where it was very common to see a top mid-carder face a Superstars regular or even a women's match main event the show rather than seeing the likes of Drew Gulak, Angel Garza, Jaxson Ryker, Humberto Carrillo and Akira Tozawa every week? And also, the likes of Becky Lynch, Sasha Banks, Asuka, Bayley, Alexa Bliss, Charlotte Flair and Bianca Belair never compete on WWE Main Event yet every female talent from the Diva Era wrestled on WWE Superstars.

Wow, WWE Main Event is still a thing?? Yes, it currently airs on Peacock and Hulu. It mainly features low-card talents.

WWE Superstars was exactly the same as Main Event for a long time before they did away with it. One was taped with bottom of the card talent from Raw, and the other the same from SmackDown.
Both shows went through periods where they tried getting viewers with higher-card talent, but they gave up on that ages ago. I'm not sure the reason why they still tape Main Event, but there is zero reason for them to do it any differently than they do now. It airs on Hulu the same week they tape it, but it's delayed like 3 weeks or thereabouts for being put on Peacock/WWE Network.

When I did night shift on a Friday Arvos in Australia they used to show superstars and main event at 2 till 4 and I used to stay up to date with the main roster plus watch the under card wrestlers on it like zack ryder curt hawkins yoshi tastu gold dust Tyson Kidd etc it was good

I think the beauty of the B/C shows is getting to see lower & mid card guys who aren't on the main television every week. I think Worldwide, Saturday Night & Heat (until 2001) used to have a good balance between midcard action & usually a couple feature matches (or just the one). Superstars & Main Event even used this format when they first began airing
In the modern day, Main Event tends to just feature rematches or the same few guys wrestling. SD's midcarders always seem to get the short straw when it comes to the B/C shows as the television schedule the past few years has meant Main Event tapings have been exclusive to RAW since 2016. It's why over the years SD has had so many guys who go weeks even months without wrestling on TV. Maybe they should rotate what shows performers feature on Main Event each week. Or even just tape one match each at either show & air it on Main Event (they used to do this with Superstars) It would make the colour scheme of the logo featuring both red & blue make more sense too.

It was worth being tired in school the next day.

Since it's been mentioned, I used to really enjoy Superstars. One of my favourite matches (Bryan vs Regal) took place on that show, and it was also the show that made me a fan of Tyson Kidd. Main Event just doesn't feel the same, even though it's essentially the same show.

I think secondary shows are great for what they are. I don’t know why people have such a problem with them. I don’t know if anyone noticed but 205 Live changed formats and is now a secondary NXT show.

It's additional content that they get paid for.

Main Event & 205 Live should be cancelled at this point.
