The more online retail takes over though, the greater need for brick and mortar will get. The seesaw goes up and down, if everybody is shopping online, it’ll be desirable to just have a local toy store again….same principles as to why they had them in every town in the first place. Convenience and access Primarily, I do my shopping online when it comes to figures. I will say though that there are a good few a year that I wait and buy in store. Not mainly due to paying more online, just because I want the experience of walking in, seeing it on the shelf and then browsing the store. I just bought the Sgt Slaughter Elite last week in a store here, and I was originally gonna couple it in with my Ringside order, but I decided to take my chances. Walking into the store and seeing one on the shelf and being able to grab it was a good feeling, and that’s why we need these stores open. People still enjoy that rush. I never buy clothes online, except WWE t-shirts, but you ain’t finding those in Next, because I like the fact you get the experience of seeing what you’re buying/trying it on etc. There’s so many clothing brand stores closed here that it makes up half of the shopping centre with empty stores. It’s quite sad.

It’s quite sad. I totally agree with you! I get torn sometimes between wanting the fig and taking that risk of finding it haha, it’s a tough juggling act sometimes. I SO miss walking into the store and seeing new toys that I didn’t even know existed. You’d immediately flip it to the back and see what else was new, I loved that. It’ll come back around though, when the pendulum swings too far one way, it’s gotta come back the other. There will be an increasing need for brick and mortar as well as an opportunity for it the more things move online. That’s why we had local businesses in the first place, convenience!

Sounds amazing, too bad im no where near the northeast lol My wife actually wants us to drive down to the American Dream mall this morning. I told here bring some water bottles & snacks because we are camping out. We’ll be first in line for when they open later this month! It's opening this weekend. Start setting up the tent ⛺ 👍🦒🎁

Bring oldschool fun back to the kids. The NJ one Grimm showed was not so much a toys r ys as a jcpenny set up.

That is nice. I haven't been to a Macy's in a while though so I doubt I will see TRU's return.

It was a major letdown. No Batman or Wrestling figures and the only Marvel or Star Wars they have were pegwarmers. Sad. I had such high hopes for this.

PJ I found a few things I wouldve purchased in your pics, but I would say give them some time and they will start expanding their action figure selection.

I went to Toys R Us at the American Dream Mall today and bought a WM38 Elite Stone Cold, E85 Liv Morgan and Spinmaster DC Rebirth Batman. They didnt have wrestling or Batman figures when PJ went there but there was a wall of Spinmaster Batman and WWE Basics now. Other wrestling figures they had were WM38 Elite Bret Hart and AJ Styles (no Shawn Michaels), doctorwhofan's Superstar dolls, Championship Showdown 2packs and the Wrekkin Slam Cycle with Drew McIntyre. A lot of the figures in the action figure section were the usual female shelfwarmers.

I went to the one in midtown Manhattan and the wrestling figures they had were the Basic series with Big E in white and the Elite Top Picks with Undertaker, Rock and Rey Mysterio. I bought the Mysterio and a Geoffrey Funko.

I know I probably wouldn't find much there that I would actually buy. But I LOVE seeing the photos from it! Seeing a genuine toy store look again makes me feel so happy. I miss toy stores. Like I love the Mom & Pop local stores, but I do miss going through a Toys R Us or KB!

Its not like the old big box Toys R Us stores but its still better than all those empty pegs at Walmart or Target.
