I hear you brother. I honestly get broken-hearted at the thought of some kid rushing to the figure section hoping to find something they want, only to find the selection barren due to someone buying up more stock than they need. Hell, I even hate it for adults too. We're all fans. There would be more than enough to go around if people had a little more decency. Hell, that's a microcosm for society in general actually. I love you. Over the years I've bent and creased "hot" figure packages in the store just to deter scalpers. I know a kid isn't going to care if the package isn't pristine. Wow I couldn't imagine outing myself as a tool so boldly like you have. Other people besides scalpers want MOC figures but I guess since you don't collect MOC you don't care right? Also real galaxy brain move to lower the amount of Mint figures increasing the value of the ones that are so the scalpers can sell at higher prices.

Purposely damaging packaging of MOC figures is the Butters-level villainy this hobby needs. I love it.

The Ultimate line is pretty awesome. If i wasn't a retro/hasbro guy I'd collect them. Love the unified packaging the most. Did Mattel confirm if Diesal, Savage and Doink will come in that style package?
I think selling the figures that came with the arenas will be a lot easier then trying to sell the arenas. If people weren't willing to pay $250 now when everyone had a chance to get one...I'm not sure how many will pay that or more next year. But the FOMO is strong these days lol

"What evil plot do you have this time, Professor Chaos?"
"Simple, my dear general. We are going to destroy the Earth's precious MOC figures! Oh, yes! My latest plan will crease the edges, and crush all the corners with my hand's harmful handling! Say goodbye to your precious MOC eBay sales, and hello to chaos! Okay, hand me another one, General Disarray."

There will also always be new collectors who want these figures. The hype will really start as soon as Mattel ships these sets. Selling the figures individually, that makes the most sense. The focus will be on the figures. I see each figure at $100- $150 and probably a lot more in the future. Macho will likely hit $250 over time. Look at Amazon Rock, I guess there are at least 30,000 pieces of this figure. Macho is limited to 8,000 pieces.

Your intentions are good, but I do think there are normal collectors who want a figure with good carding. Just saying 🤷♂️ I love you. Idk I don't think his intentions are good at all. Seems highly spiteful. Not only for adult moc collectors, but plenty of kids like putting their figures back in the boxes. Arguably a crime given that he's intentionally damaging retail items without paying for them. Hopefully he's caught and banned from these stores he's doing this in.

I see no issue in damaging packaging to deter scalpers. Hell, I called in a bomb scare at JCPenney back in December '79 when I got wind that Kenner's Star Wars figures were coming out *Pushes up glasses* nobody was going to get their grubby hands on those Boba Fetts that day I can tell you.

I've got to admit, I'm not really interested in this new Macho UE - I probably wouldn't buy it if it was a standard/mass release. I love Macho, but a commentator UE figure just doesn't do much for me. Plus, I'm very happy with the Macho UE we already have. I think The Rock's first UE is arguably his best figure and most iconic look, so it was always going to be popular. Couple that with being an Amazon exclusive and it's no wonder his price has sky-rocketed.

It is Wrestlemania 10 attire but he will have a second head with the headset mold so it can be used as a commentator

The line is insane right now. If you can, everyone make sure they get Hogan and Fiend now before they hit stupid prices soon. I have a feeling Fiend will skyrocket.

MOC Hbk is now selling over 300 on the bay. thats with the headscan we all agree is just not good. Everything else about the figure is and it is based on one of the most important matches in wrestling history

I never saw a bend or crease as damaging. I think people are acting like I was kicking the toy around the aisle and dropping an elbow on it. I've purchased bent and creased ones before and I've seen packages on the shelf far worse than anything I've done to a card. I'd say I was no worse than someone who swaps the fig and returns it or specifically buys a figure to immediately go and resell it for profit. I also haven't done it in a while but did quite a bit in the early Mattel years. Offending adult collectors wasn't a concern because toys are for kids. I never met a kid or was around any growing up that kept toys in the package. Any that do nowadays got some adult collectors influencing them.

Everything else about the figure is and it is based on one of the most important matches in wrestling history BIN prices are not reflective of auction prices. I'd guess the figure, sealed, on average, will net $175-200, after auction fees and shipping.

I can't believe I'm going to say this, but the Amazon Rock UE is easily his best figure, and one of Mattel's best in their entire WWE line. I just got it loose for a very good price, and I am actually going to keep it. I like it that much. I flipped my HBK, but this Rock is just definitive.

Again, it just seems like a very selfish thing to do... you know/knew there are decent/hard-working adult collectors who might desperately want the figure, but it just doesn't matter(?). I mean, nearly all of us on here who buy them are grown adults. Not to mention, as others have pointed out - you're actually feeding/helping the scalping market by damaging the packaging: you're increasing the value of the ones that are still MOC - and if a collector can't find a decent MOC figure in the store (because it's been damaged), then they're far MORE likely to go to/buy off a scalper too 🤦♂️.

The M in MOC is *mint* as in excellent condition with no wear or tear so bent and creased figures aren't mint. It is absolutely damaging product, that's like going to trading card section and just bending packs in half. Also the difference between the damaged figures you've seen in stores due to shipping or whatever is it wasn't done intentionally unlike what you are doing. You say you are no worse than repackers who are literal thieves and scalpers who a majority of this board despises and think are scum. You really think what what you are doing is ok when that's your comparison...
