Here's my line-up for T M P's next monsters series called "Faces of Madness." I think the success of the first set will lead to another set:
Caligula - Emperor of Rome known for being a sadist, murderer, and sexual deviant. Caligula sacrificed Roman peasants as a ritual during his lavish orgies. He believed that Rome was the modern Sodom and Gomorrah.
Ivan the Terrible - Czar of Russia from 1533-1584, who ordered all he expected of treason to be tortured and murdered. Ivan is said to have exhibited numerous acts of extraordinary sadism, and his reign was marked by the death of over 10,000 servants, soldiers, and expected traitors.
Cleopatra - Egyptian snake queen who fell in love with Roman Mark Antony and was called "the whore of the east." When Antony commited suicide, she followed by applying poisonous snakes to her veins.
Ghengis Khan - renowned horseman and leader of raiding Mongol empire. Khan's battle skills were extradordinary and had a reputation of leaving raided villages in flames and its inhabitants slaughtered.
Wild Bill Hickock - The smoking gun of the American west, Hickock was reputed to have killed 200 men. Even with failing eye-sight, he was lethal. He was reportedly killed by his stepson in the back of the head while playing cards. His hand became known as the "dead man's hand" (aces and eights).
Joan of Arc - Joan experienced visions and came to believe that her favorite saints had commanded her to free France from the holding monarchy. Joan commanded the respect of the army and led a victorious but brutal battle against the reigning crown. She was later accused of heresy and burned at the stake in 1431.
That's my next set and my best attempt at recalling my college Western Civ courses. Lemme have it ;D!
