I’m starting to have t-shirts made recreating some of the Jakks’ botches and workarounds beginning with War Tony. Up next is probably gonna be a Dont Tick Me Off tank top. Trying to compile a list of others I could possibly do. Off the top of my head there’s also Big Snow (Al Snow image instead of Show’s) and Mr BA. Then I’m drawing a blank even though I know there’s more.

I know Jakks is beloved by people my age but I feel like we had nothing else at the time so we accepted their garbage.
All examples given are pretty great. I think LOD 2000 Hawk with a black tank top was pretty stupid. Why even make that when they had the original LOD mold with no top. Also the Shotgun 1998 series had so much potential but was awful, repaints of Godwinns with sleeves on their shirts they never wore, Rock with a strange Rocky logo on pants, Savio Vega repaint with white shirt instead of a tank top.
Even as a little kid I thought it was stupid how they had most earlier series guys with arm pads when they didn't wear arm pads. Of course years later they would have Classic guys with no pads even if they wore them. Jakks did put out some good products but even with the real clothing they weren't exactly trailblazers. Remco did real clothing years earlier. Also a company which is not allowed to be named, was doing superior sculpts for their legends line in the late 1990s. Sadly they too cut corners and made some bad decisions on outfits and reusing every mold.

When it was awesome it was the greatest ever but it still had a whole lotta bad. But the greatness outweight the badness. |

You gotta make a "Mr. BA" for this one. Not just that, but add the knee pads too.
Edit to add: You know, that brown haired RotR Shane figure gave me a complex that persists to this day. I still wonder if he was secretly born with brown hair and the McMahons were just crazy enough to let him dye it as a child. The fact that there are several photographs of him from across the years with brown hair only further the mystery.
