Regular big bossman already sold out. Any chance this gets re-stocked?

Fingers crossed this Showdown Kane has more paint and detail on the figure than the one that came with Edge.

Hey, was there ever any word whether Mia would come with an unmasked head/removable mask or anything like that? Or am I gonna have to buy a second basic to headswap?

I got my order in for Reed, Swerve, and UE Kane & Taker.
I'm so glad Reed's figure is getting made!

Is ringside the only place that charges for pre orders when first purchased? What benefits them by charging before shipping ?

Is ringside the only place that charges for pre orders when first purchased? What benefits them by charging before shipping ? Idk if they’re the only, but they’re not a big national company. It’s a small business out of NY. Probably helps them actually get the stuff ordered there quicker. It really only deters me when it’s longer than a couple months. It’s super easy to cancel and get a refund if needed. At the end of the day they’re toys and not a necessity so it doesn’t bother me too much to be charged immediately. I also know the money is spent that way. Feel for the people that have to wait a year for their New Gen arenas or Super 7 figures…

Plenty of larger companies charge for preorders when you order, including big box retailers. For action figure retailers, Big Bad's system is probably the best (charge on item arrival; hold items across multiple orders for combined shipping), but Ringside also offers their own store exclusives plus receives figures sooner than other retailers, so they have considerations that a lot of toy sites don't have.
Honestly, most of the big detriments to charging on preorder aren't typically an issue here - Ringside tends to get items on time as well as restocks, rarely if ever has to cancel an item due to manufacturer issues, and is a trustworthy business.

But here lately I’ve been seeing a lot of post, tweets and stuff of people always complaining about charging immediately for pre orders that you may not get on the initial release date anymore. I just don’t see any benefit of charging immediately , I would think it would make things more difficult when people wanna cancel orders and refunding and all that. I would think more people would pre order if not charged right away.

It doesn’t bother me personally, I just been seeing a lot of people complaints here lately about the charging immediately and not getting stuff on the initial release date, and with how they charged the payment method for the backer ring after people complaining about being charged immediately. So it just had me Thinking if ringside didn’t charge immediately if they would sale more stuff .

I think it's definitely been on people's minds after the New Gen Arena, too. Charging immediately for a crowdfund campaign is almost always a massive error, I think, and I'm glad it didn't end up sinking that campaign like it threatened to do.
I've wondered about its effect on Ringside's sales. I know I've definitely committed to Big Bad preorders because I could lock it in free until release, but that's also allowed me to cancel a lot of stuff when I looked at my list of preorders with a more critical eye. I'm guessing a lot of people engage with their site like that, so the downside of a no-charge preorder system is probably making your logistics and forecasting a bit of a nightmare. It also probably works better for them because they sell EVERYTHING. They want broad sales across tons of lines and categories - in my preorders now, alongside action figures, I have model kits and vinyl movie soundtracks. Ringside is a site dealing with a specific niche and fanbase. Wrestling fans have pretty defined tastes, and I think we're pretty much gonna order exactly what we planned to order. The sales are where our impulse shopping happens.

SvS, e88, etc. despite the global pandemic and shipping issues. From my experience and others statements we use RIngside because they’re reliable and easy enough to deal with. Can’t speak for international customers, but that seems to be a customs/duty fee issues. I feel like they would get burnt on preorders falling out or wouldn’t be able to overnight stuff if they didn’t charge upfront. Gotta remember they usually get stuff months before Amazon/Walmart. I also obviously like to support them because they support the community with interviews, exclusives and this forum.

i dont mind the charging...however i would pre-order more with options to cancel if i didnt like the final images for example UE Taker, i wouldve pre-ordered but didnt because im not sure about the final product...but ringside wouldve had a order for him if i did...instead ill prob order from the normal outlets... it seems like a dual edged sword. they could make more, if people keep the orders, if they didnt , worst case would be they have more stock after..

Only thing I dislike about spamS is their literally like the last store possible to receive stock lol. But I do like how they do their pre orders.

Seems like now that you mentioned it , that they said something about the over nighting stuff was the reason they either charge up front or why they charge more, I can’t remember. But even if they’re paying more to over night stuff, their not getting it shipped over night right now It seems.

Getting this BACK on track -- I think Elite 90 is one of the best Elite sets in a long time. Anyone agree?

Judging by the renders it's pretty light on accessories. That's one of the reasons I asked about the face mask on the Reckoning/Mia Yim figure - it's weird to me that she'd only have the extra hands. I don't know how complete these renders are but it looks like there's not even a belt in the set.
I think it's a pretty solid set but it's weird to get one where so many of the modern figures have been rendered out of date like this, so I don't think a lot of people are going to be hyped for it.
