Absolutely heartbroken. For those out of the loop, Daffney seemingly took her own life last night at age 46 after reading out her last will and testament in an Instagram Live video. For those of you going through the same feelings Daffney felt in her final hours, just know that you aren’t alone and someone will always be there to help you, even if it doesn’t feel like it.

! My friend sent me that tweet from Mike Foley last night where he was concerned about her. That’s so heartbreaking. Condolences to her family and friends. RIP

Had a feeling when the story went quiet for so long that it was going to be too late.
This is why you always take cries for help seriously (In this case everyone did, and unfortunately were still unable to help). It doesn't matter if it's the 100th time someone has cried wolf on something like this.

Unfortunately I feared for the worst when the news broke that police couldn’t get in contact with her. Absolutely heartbreaking.

I recall Grumpyoldman a few years back in the classic section having a thread putting out awareness about her troubles. So sad in the end she didnt get the help she needed. RIP Daffney

I'll never forget being a kid and seeing Abyss chokeslam her off the top to the outside through the barbed wire board. It was beyond nuts for me to watch that. She was always doing podcasts, too, and has a ton of really wonderful stories about being really young when being signed to WCW and being new to wrestling. She told great stories about working out with Miss Elizabeth and spending time with her before Liz passed.
It seemed like everyone who crossed paths with her just loved her. She was known for having a huge heart and having great fan interactions. Its really a sad day to see someone who is such a beacon of positivity throughout wrestling pass. It hurts even worse knowing that she had her own struggles that overwhelmed her but never let anyone see that.
She really got her in-ring career cut short with injuries. I wish we could've seen a lot more of her. She was only 36 when she began slowing down her career with TNA. If only she could have stayed healthy, I am sure she could've found a way back into wrestling and just grew her legacy.
She was a wonderful woman who had a small footprint on the wrestling industry as a whole, but someone who will not be forgotten. Daffney was someone who exemplified treating others the way you want to be treated within a subculture that definitely is not all about that.
Just keep your eye out on social media today and see all of the wrestlers that have something kind to say about Daffney. She flew under the radar a bit because she has been retired for about ten years and never showed back into wrestling in a major way, but she was so supportive of a lot of young independent talent since retiring from in-ring action. People at every level of wrestling really loved her.

She was just lovely. Used to have a huge crush on her. Take care of your mental health, people. It's okay to be hurting, it's okay to ask for help. RIP.

I will never forget when she won the WCW Crusierweight title, I thought it was SO COOL at the time.
A true pioneer for the division!
RIP Scream Queen!

Couldn’t watch the video from last night. This makes me feel sick to my stomach.
I hope her family and close friends can find peace soon.

This one hits really hard.
Daffney wasn't just one of my favorites, she was a huge inspiration and source of hope for me when I was in high school. I looked up to her and found rare joy in seeing her on TV. Between her, Stacy, and Shane, I made it though the toughest days of my life. Barely.
It's so heartbreaking to me that she couldn't find the help she needed to do the same. Mental Illness is one of the worst things in the world. It's a demon that is always out to get you and, even on your best days, always seems to be lurking right around the corner.
To anyone who is in this sort of a place, know that there are people out there who care about you. It may not seem like it, but there is always an alternative.
This breaks my heart.

I was a young teenager during the attitude era/end of WCW and Daffney was what you could probably consider my first real celebrity crush. Man I just thought she was the absolute coolest. Followed her in TNA. Was ridiculously excited when she got her first figure.
Finally got around to meeting her at Wrestlecon in New York a few years ago and she was one of the absolute nicest and coolest people I have ever met. She took multiple pictures with me, and looked at all of them. She critiqued them, she made us do faces, “nice” ones, she even made me DM her favorite picture to her for her collection, she asked what I did for a living, asked about my wife, Francine was sharing a table with her and said that I looked so happy and that being able to make fans days makes Daffney so happy. She made my weekend by being so freaking cool. Definitely stung today when I had to read that. That 10 minute interaction we had as small as it was left a impression on me for the rest of my life. She absolutely did good in this world and I wish she knew the impact she had on everyone that knew her.

^ Very well said, sure you and other fans made her happy as well at the signings.
I can't say i have seen much of her work apart from a few tna matches but i am still saddened by this ending, injuries and mental health had taken a toll on her from what i have read, some extremely nasty online comments about her appearance didn't help either, those people make me sick.
R.I.P to her and all the best for her family, friends and fans in these upcoming weeks and months especially.
