Just because WWE calls itself a "universe" doesn't make it so. These guys and gals all know each other. mine was satire more than anything else.... I've tried satire once. Got me a warning bar lol

I caught the Lashley/Orton match and I really enjoyed it. I also think RKBro is money. There are things you can criticize Orton for but his versatility and longevity are undeniable.

Some people will undoubtedly roll their eyes when Orton eventually wins another world title, but just like his last few, I think it will be well deserved.

You can try to pinpoint whatever reasons they did what they did but for one night Raw was a step in the right direction. New champ, good main event, Doudrop squashed Eva Marie, Kross cut a promo where he wasn’t a joke, Priest still looks strong, Mace and TBar didn’t look like goofs. They realized for a second their product sucks and took a step to fix it. Now next week they could have Big E drop the belt, decide the women’s title is gonna be on the line in a tag match with Alexa, Charlotte and the Dolls, and Kross can be booked as a big goof again. But for one night they looked to be attempting to make changes for the better, and low key moment of the night was Garza and Carrillo debuted as a new heel team on main event as two young cocky good looking Spanish heels.

I know ratings talks are frowned upon in this section for some reason, but this is a big deal. It’ll be interesting to see what they do next week in response to these ratings. I guarantee people are walking on eggshells today in Connecticut. That 18-49 number is definitely not what they wanted.

I guarantee people are walking on eggshells today in Connecticut. That 18-49 number is definitely not what they wanted. I'm assuming wrestlenomics has the data somewhere, but I'd be really curious to see year over year decline percentages from previous weeks compared to Monday Night Football weeks, especially the season opener. Regardless, that number is far below what they'd be comfortable with on most years even with Monday Night Football, I'm just really curious if the drop off was more or less relative to average demo viewership compared to previous years. There's always 2 ways to approach those weeks. You either concede that you're getting torched that week (which you can't do for every MNF, but the first one makes sense) and just put on a filler show so the audience doesn't miss anything important, or you try to entice them to skip football by putting on something can't miss. I would think that Big E calling his shot would fall into the latter category. I hope they don't interpret the data as automatically meaning Big E is a bust, because I don't think that's what it suggests at all. I would guess there's enough mistrust on follow through that people weren't going to skip MNF on the chance that Big E might do it, and then might actually win. Next week post win going up against week 2 of MNF should be very telling, but it will also depend how they decide to program the show for that week.

I’ve always wondered if winning the WWE Championship feels the same when you’ve cashed in and won a three minute match compared to winning an actual full length match. they don't care only thing they want is the payday obviously

Imagine how low the number would have been if they didn’t hotshot Big E winning? Even still it went down like crazy from last week. Of course I was one of many who chose to watch the awesome football game.

I don't think Dynamite will be beating WWE MONDAY NIGHT RAW week in and week out (yet), but it'll be interesting to see what the office does to try and draw viewers.

Well I wasn’t comparing them to Dynamite. If this was a plain episode of raw I think it would have done a worse number than it did going up against mnf.

Likely bring back Goldberg, Taker, Cena, and Rocky to get those one-week viewership jumps. Probably another Orton title run thrown in there too (though I wouldn’t be against an Orton/Riddle feud for the title).

My point is, if ratings stay low what can they possibly do to consistently bring people back? Weekly title changes?

Big E winning was well deserved! Big moment. I’ve always been a fan for since his main roster debut and even his NXT days.

I still wanna see Lashley vs Orton on PPV. They need more matches tbh, their match on RAW was real good.
