My son and i will be attending this show with 2 of my best friends, for months each dynamite has had a special theme or hype each week. This one has had none! 2 matches announced thus far to my knowledge. We have had these tickets since last yr when it was originally scheduled for November and would have been brodie and matts debut. If the current reports are true it sounds like we may see bray debut, but otherwise any thoughts on why this episode isn’t getting any attention?
I doubt we see danielson, punk or sting perform as they all just had a match lol did we just get an off week?

I fully expect a pretty big Brodie tribute. Whether it's on dynamite or not. I think there are 4 matches announced though.
Cole vs jungle boy, which should be unreal.
TayJay vs bunny/Ford
Miro vs Guevara for tnt title
Dante/sydal vs. Cody/Lee Johnson
I would assume there will be some sort of dark order match besides TayJay

Will we get a taping after dynamite?

Totally get what you're saying, but they had to cool it on the special shows at some point. They've basically been running PPV caliber shows in terms of match quality with some gigantic debuts, and that's just not sustainable on free tv week after week.
But even when they run a "normal" Dynamite, it's one hell of a show. I remember being bummed that of all the early shows, the Pittsburgh one seemed like a dud - I think we had the tag tournament semi-finals, but all the other early shows had championship matches. It was still an amazing show, and some fantastic in-ring action.
Even without much announced, I think you're in for one heck of a show. Given everything with Brodie, I have no doubt they'll deliver an amazing evening.

a lot of ‘normal’ dynamites have been just as if not bigger bangers than the hyped ones, I would not worry at all

AEW goes old school, and I think they realize you can't try to give everyone everything every week. But they still put on a good show regardless. That said, it does seem a little quiet this week, so I hope the OP and his son get a great show.

a "normal" Dynamite would likely be more entertaining, especially in person. While the Danielson/Omega match last week was great it couldnt be followed and by the end of the night/main event the crowd just wasnt there (or they dont care about women one).

I wouldn't worry too much. Last week was the first "themed/special" Dynamite since the August 4th Homecoming.

Cole vs. Jungle Boy is gonna be a banger though, so you have that going for you.

You got Adam Cole vs Jungle Boy and Guevara vs Miro for the title, and they will probably tape Rampage as well. I see no reason to complain.

You think that’s bad, imagine thinking Full Gears gonna be in St Louis and they pull it for Minneapolis…
At least I might get to go to Royal Rumble for this first time…

AEW Dynamite keeps being good each week. The normal shows they put on are great, so when they do those PPV style episodes it pretty much spoils us.
I look more forward to AEW Dynamite each Wednesday than I do Raw, Smackdown or even NXT. Though now NXT has become my second favourite show of the week behind Dynamite ever since they changed their format and became brighter and brought in new stars.

You get to see Jungle Boy/Adam Cole,TNT title and most likely Bray's debut. Sounds like one incredible night to me. I would love to see the Cole/JB match in person, besides Hangman finally getting the title from Omega that's probably the match I want to see more then any other.

I guess most misunderstood the question, we are super excited and aren’t denying a great show and the talent announced, my question was why do you think this show hasnt had any attention or hype like most. I thought just for the fact this has been a year in the making and brodies home town that it would have been acknowledged. Ive made a bunch of signs for the group of us going, we will be elevated seats across from the ring so here’s hoping we are opposite the hard camera!

Am I the only person that still wishes Bray isn't coming to AEW?

Bryan Danielson vs Nick Jackson announced for Rampage. Sounds like your gonna be at one hell of a show.

Am I the only person that still wishes Bray isn't coming to AEW? I have no interest in seeing him in AEW. He is better suited for Impact.

Agreed! IMPACT Wrestling is perfect for Bray Wyatt. He could dominate that place with his star power instead of being just another WWE guy in AEW who is cool for a while then will get replaced by the next WWE star who enters AEW.
