Elias looked like he skipped leg day. That's legit how Elias looks. From my recollection anyway. He hasn't really been around in a bit and I don't feel like looking up photos. But I do remember looking at him and thinking "This is why we don't skip leg day"
And that Ember Moon gets worse and worst the more I stare at her. Realizing that that is a unique, specially molded torso for that figure and they still mukked her up that bad makes it even more laughable.
And then there is just the ChSd Rhea which - I'd call it a half-a$$ attempt but that would be overstating the amount of effort involved. I went back and looked at the Vegeta attire to see if I was wrong but, no, that figure looks like they showed a small child a photo of the Vegeta attire and had them then draw a ppicture of it, and then they made a figure of THAT.
Again, as I have stated several times. I love these figures and I love collecting them. Honestly, the Charlotte figure that comes with Rhea is snazzy. I kind of want top pick her up loose to have an updated Charlotte. And the Rock basic is going to be one I simply must have. I very much want one, I'm a sucker for street clothes figures and that's a pretty iconic look for me of The Great One. (Minus the buckle, of course, but it's still really nice).
But I am a women's collector at heart and the ever-widening gap between Women's Basics and Women's Elites is making me so very angry, especially when there was once a time where the gap was practically nonexistent. Sometimes I feel like Mattel decided "Oops, sorry. We gave you too many great Women's figures in the beginning, now we have to make up for it."
Not true, I'm certain. But sometimes I feel that way and it makes me sad.

A few questions: 1. Why is Jake's snake grey? 2. Does anyone worry Dakota is going to warm like crazy? No way. Dakota and Goon are the only first time in the line Elites that were shown.. she'll move quick.
I hope I'm wrong -- but think I might not be. Remember how long Io sat?

The amount of effort that went into this Goon figure is somewhat hilarious. Obscure, insignificant, forgettable gimmick from 1995? Let's give him custom boots, soft goods, accessories, etc. Certain Savage or Asuka figures can't get soft goods because of budget reasons though?
Have you SEEN all the people complaining about the lack of first time Legends? I bet people will be happy with it.

I see. Well -- those would be SO much more expensive than the goon. Yes -- it's cloth, but not that many deco hits. Macho in a full cape or Asuka with gear (both of which I agree would be awesome) -- would be much more expensive.
I just think there's a difference between the design time of the Goon -- and the cost to do his production run, than what the cost of those two figures you mentioned would be. It's not the design time and soft goods that are a fortune (esp. not one jersey) -- but the huge deco and design costs of something like a sequined cape or a major colored robe

Thoughts on Dakota warming: I can definitely see it. Io was a gorgeous figure, damn near a perfect FTIL overall figure... and she rotted harder than a pumpkin after halloween. She's still lingering on RSC for *checks notes* almost 50% off retail. Dakota isn't a FTIL figure, just a first time Elite and while her Basic was pretty bad it isn't the same as never getting a figure of her before. Add to that how she is NXT only and her only WWE/NXT Gold is the tag belts and yeah. I agree that there is a good chance this figure warms like crazy. It's unfortunate, but I can see it happening.
Of course, it won't warm around ME, women's figures never do here. For some horribly annoying reason in my crappy little town women are always the first to go. But statistically and historically speaking there is a good chance we see a repeat of Io Shirai.
Thoughts on Goon: Ok, so I see all of you bellowing about this figure and here's the thing. I would bet my last pizza lunchable that we never get another Goon figure EVER. This is a one and done, single release only figure. So why wouldn't they make it perfect? Is there a butt-ton of people screaming for a Goon figure? NO. But the people who DO want a Goon figure are the adult collectors who want the best figure to display on their shelf. If the Goon's only figure wasn't the perfect Goon figure, then you'd upset what is frankly the entirety of the target audience for that figure.
There will be other Machos. There will likely be other Asukas. The rights to Macho are pretty much locked in, I don't see his estate parting ways with the WWE any time soon. You still have time to get Macho Men to your hearts content. Asuka, I believe we've been told several times that they are still trying to find a way to get us the Robe but with the current technology it just isn't feasible as an Elite. Maybe someday as an UE, but it isn't for lack of trying that we haven't gotten a robe for Asuka. The fact that it is logistically impossible to release an Asuka basic should tell you how hard making Asuka figures is in general. Someday I would love a robe but for the moment it isn't financially possible at a 22 dollar figure price point.

Difference between Dakota and Io is that Kai is gonna be a store exclusive and likely packed 1 per case so it will be a much smaller production run than Shirai who was in the main line.

Still, hope you are right. I mean, we've seen other store exclusives rot before. Weasel Suit Heenan? Don Muraco? Even the IIconics which were supposedly exclusives were just everywhere. Some of these figures are still plaguing shelves and websites as we speak. Being a 1/case exclusive doesn't necessarily mean that the figure won't warm. We'll just have to wait and see.
