The threads on this Kane are the ultimate (no pun intended) example of taking a very legitimate complaint and blowing it go to some insane levels. For starters, I really don’t think there’s any bigger conspiracy here than the removable Ultimate arms are tooled in their own, Kane’s were both cast in red, the elbow wasn’t painted. It sucks, it’s an oversight, but there’s no more “answer” to it than that nor is it recall-worthy. As for potential replacement of the arm or a running change, I would guess there’s no definitive answer to that yet because the figure hasn’t even hit actual retail yet.

Honestly the only thing you can do is return them or not buy them. I was trying to think of a good comparison to draw, but can’t really. I sell paint. If someone came and I sold them it and say didn’t mix it, and just left them to deal with it and hid in the back instead of at least addressing the issue. Like when I pull up to a drive thru and sit there for several minutes with no response, just acknowledge me/it. Say sorry it will be a second, otherwise I’m not sure you’re even there. They could pop in and say sorry our bad, but they don’t want to/can’t contractually. I’m sure they’re busy, hell were all busy, but just ignoring it and hoping it will go away/die down is bad too. |

I'm surprised that no one has posted a pic of ultimate Kane head on RSC exclusives deadman's revenge Kane till now. Would this work?
I mean, yeah, it would be a mashup, but I wonder how well this would work.
EDIT: Just got shipping notification. Gonna try to fix him up a bit when I get him. I want to gloss the boots and touch up the head. Not sure about the elbow, I plan on displaying him with the cape on so I'll probably leave it alone.

It's 10x easier to fix the lack of gloss on his boots. That elbow will require sanding, matching the right shade of red and I believe you can't even disassemble the elbow due to the lack of pins. Then you have to worry about paint chip. |

I’m sure a lot of other people feel the same way. |

Then you have to worry about paint chip. On my custom above it was actually alot easier. I didn't sand or take apart. Matched the red and used a good sealed and even with multiple moves its stayed in place. Still think its a terrible mistake from Mattel but thats another subject |

in my experience, that super shine gloss on plastic i think gets gummier/stickier/slimier/secretes faster over time than the matte
so the no gloss isn't accurate, and to avoid slime isn't the reason mattel didn't do it, but no gloss is kind of a silver lining i think.
btw a part of me was hoping mattel would lose the license. I'm sick of a lot of their parts reuse and weird choices (as i look at my peach/pinkish colored mustafa and heel slaughter)
and was willing to roll the dice on a new company

That looks excellent. See, that annoys me - there's no reason why it shouldn't be leaving the factory looking like this. The mask alone is incredibly well done and completely changes the whole look of the figure. Simple paint application being done correctly can change so much.
