Ok, so I am aware that I am going to sound like a moron, but me and technology do not mix all that well. A couple of weeks ago we got this suppossed fancy new internet called future fibre and to be fair, it downloads stuff about four times as fast as we were getting before. It came with this fancy new eero 6 (I think that is what it is called) router and they said that it would eliminate dead spots in my house. the thing is I did not have dead spots in the house before with my old ass router! The game room always had the weakest signal, but it was still usable, this new router though is useless in my game room.
I looked on Amazon at Wi-Fi boosters/extenders what ever you want to call them, but I am kind of lost. I thought that I could put the extender up stairs and then it would give my game room easier access to the internet. However, from what I have read on Amazon I need to actually plug the booster into my router. If the thing is going to be right next to the router is it going to provide me with any better internet?
I have used this powerline adapter thing before, but that only works with one device and I have more than that in my game room. Any advice any of you can give would be much appreciated
