Since the brand split was introduced in 2002, WWE loves to hold shows where the brands go to war, and I can’t blame them. Which has been your favorite? I’m probably forgetting some in all fairness.
My personal favorite, though, was SVS ‘05. Really enjoyed the ten-man tag that closed the show, it would’ve been more fun if Eddie had gotten to participate, since he passed right before, but I still really liked it.

I clicked Survivor Series 2005 for this one.
I just feel that back then it really did feel more like a brand split than recent memory. The 2005 Survivor Series one carried on for a while too with Kane and Big Show appearing on the next Smackdown PPV to feud with Batista and Rey Mysterio.

I voted SvS but only because I don't love the other options, either.
I honestly think at this point, WWE could do a Bragging Rights show in addition to Survivor Series. Its not like they are selling PPVs anymore. Whoever is going to watch that month's PPV is going to watch it-- regardless of whether its Survivor Series, Bragging Rights, HIAC, Night of Champions...whatever.
I only really loved Survivor Series 2016. It felt so big and so exciting. The 5v5 men's match just will not be topped. Since then, the matches have been pretty lame. 2017 was that super weird and conveluted match with the really bad Triple H/Braun finish. That match relied solely on the crowd popping for different people getting tagged in to stare down their opponent. 2018's tag was just all secondary stars. They went from teams with Cena, Orton, Triple H, and Shane McMahon to teams with Barron Corbin, Dolph Ziggler and the Miz. Again, it was just an OK match. I didn't really dig the NXT addition to the PPV in 2019 so much because the 5v5v5 was just a little overkill for my taste. It ended up being pretty good but it was fine for a one-off. 2020 was just a dreadful match.
I also like that the world champions led their teams in the 2016 match. I really think this makes the most sense, but then you lose having PPV world title matches on a tentpole event for the company.
I would really be more interested in seeing teams of 5 babyfaces and 5 heels from both rosters. I always loved the 2006-2010 teams where they would mix the brand's fan favorites on one team and they'd face a team of all of their rivals. I loved when DX and the Hardys and CM Punk got to team up. It was always fun.
I say bring back Bragging Rights and have actual stakes in how the brands come out on the other side. Lose 2 draft picks; or have the show in June and the winning team gets the main event spot of SummerSlam; or whatever! I think WWE is at a point where they can have one show for brand warfare and one separate show that is a classic Survivor Series event. This also solves the problem of having team RAW and team Smackdown being led by the world champs on each show for Bragging Rights, and you can still have world title match attractions at Survivor Series.
Anyways, I'm extremely bored with the company's current approach.

2005 Survivor Series or 2006 Cyber Sunday. Any of the ones they have done since 2018 have just felt super forced to me

I liked the Bragging Rights PPV's, mainly the 2009 show.
Really liked how they did the ropes in half, and the posts with both colours.

I have always hated this concept with a passion and find it one of the most insulting things the WWE does. The wrestlers do not give a crap what brand they are on for like 48 weeks of the year and then we are suppossed to buy into this brand loyalty BS and that there are big stakes invovled! I get some people like it, but it is just not for me at all. The only year I got anything out of it was when they had NXT involved as well.

Survivor Series 2005.
I was so invested in that storyline as a kid. I was only able to watch SmackDown and Bottom Line back then, so I was a SmackDown fan all the way. This whole story still holds a lot of nostalgia for me.

Has to be Survivor Series 2005. It legit felt like a war between the two brands. As a viewer, you truly believed that they were fighting for their brand like it was the WWE Championship. It was a time when WWE were strict on keeping their superstars on their show. You never saw Raw superstars on Smackdown and vice versa, so when each team was invading the other show, it was must watch because that never happened. Nowadays, the brand supremacy aspect seems a bit forced, as if they have to invade the other show for no other reason other than because its November. It also doesn't help that the draft is regularly rotating the roster. That being said though, the 2016 elimination match  ing ruled. |

Survivor Series 2005. The invading the other show thing was newer then. There was more focus on characters then too, which made the interactions funnier. It benefitted greatly from having a big personality like JBL involved, and from the way Boogeyman popped up at the time.
I still enjoy the Survivor Series month now, but it doesn’t feel as novel as the 2005 one.
My favourite moment of any of the brand supremacy stuff though was probably when DX called out Kofi’s accent during the build to Bragging Rights.

*EDIT: I don’t think there was a Brand vs Brand match on this card, I just realized that lol. Anyway, enjoy the trip down memory lane 👍
My favorite would be Survivor Series 2004.
I love the theme song, I use to burn that on every CD I made lol. That was also when I had my first job so I really started buying up any and all WWE PPV DVD’s I could find locally and I’d always watch one before bed. I have watched this show so many times haha, it’s not even particularly good but I have nothing but fond memories. The box art is awesome too, that’s one of my favorites.
I really did like the stipulation though that whoever won the elimination match between Orton & HHH’s teams, all members of that team would control RAW for a month. (I person in charge each week). That was interesting, and Triple H was in a loss loss situation which was an underrated storyline of that show. Whoever won was going to grant themselves a title shot when they were in charge & that was at a time were they were really treating the championship as important as it had ever been.

Survivor Series 2005, we hadn’t seen much cross-branded rivalries/matches much between 2002-2005 so to finally see RAW and SmackDown go head to head (besides Angle/HBK, Orton/Taker & the Eddie Guerrero tribute shows, Royal Rumble’s etc) was amazing.

But SS 05 was awesome since it was like the two brands had a bone to pick. It wasn't sanctioned because band warefare. Awesome build up and story.
Bragging Rights was a cool concept; but I think more should be at stake between the brands. Like if your someone like The Miz who's been drafted between Raw/SmackDown so many times it's like; why would you go to war for that brand you know? Something needs to be of value to him to gain. The old brand extension for sure had these floaters; but you had guys like HBK/Taker/Cena/Edge/Orton/Rey Mysterio Batista who typically were pillars to they're brand and you could see them feeling strongly about they're brand. We don't have that
Survivor Series bringing it back was awesome in 2016; but that magic died more every year. I think we either should get Bragging Rights as a new event; if we don't want to commit to Extreme Rules being an actual Extreme show; just have it take that slot next year.
Or I think Survivor Series should rotate ever so often. Between a brand war; a coming together of both brands in unique 5v5; brand rivalry oriented 5 v5. to keep each year some what fresh.
I think those 00 Survivor Series were unique; when in Survivor Series 06 DX/Team Rated RKO that was special. The brands very rarely interacted so when you saw these cross brand teams form it was something special.

ECW One Night Stand 2006 was a battle for brand supremcy too. WWE vs ECW. Cena vs RVD. Rey vs Sabu.

Surprised no ones mentioned Invasion 2001. I know it isn't Raw/Smackdown, but that show had a huge feel to it. The 5 on 5 and Austin turning was so good, and some of the matches on the undercard while not being outstanding were still fun and it still had a battling feel to it. Saying that, RVD/Jeff is worth going back to watch at any time.

I like the old school Survivor Series better than what they are now which is a mix
