I actually really like the Major guys -- and even if you don't, they put a TON of love and work into their live shows. So was a bummer to see this -- I really hope they can sell tickets. Honestly I listen every week, supported in the early days etc with shirts etc since day 1 but I think Matt puts people off sometimes. Half the time he’s fine but the other half he goes from being a little annoying to very annoying. Bryan is far more chill and likeable. Also as they brought more people into the fold it’s diluted it. I preferred it when they did their own social media etc. I get they’re busy etc but by making it into a bigger thing than it initially was they’ve diluted it as I say and lost a lot of the more fun content like the toy hunts in independent stores etc. A lot of work goes in but I guess their crew of what seems to be 10 people out a lot of work in too. It’s not as DIY as other pods. Finally brining mark in from producer to on air - when he does that “fake enjoyment/excited” voice it’s super annoying, as is his “and we’re back” voice. Not sure why he feels the need to be a voice artist? I also get the criticism that they don’t relate to the average collector. They tour the country (and world) and can check different stores in different cities on a weekly basis. Unless your a long distance lorry driver 99% of prople don’t have the same luxury yet matt has often said the hunt is part of the fun etc, but that’s o my true if your able to hunt. So yeah there’s my thoughts on the pod lol. Some good, some bad.

Hard to disagree with much of that. The hardest parts for me to listen to are when Matt is completely out of touch or clearly being a baby about something. Mark by far became my favorite but I agree the fake excitement voice gets to be too much sometimes. I think he has been reigning it in these past few weeks or I’ve just noticed it less. Interesting to hear him say that the second year of the pod he made over $30k (from the pod alone) and it sounded like plenty more after that.
I could do without all of the Whatnot discussion/plugging and the shameless cash grabs (like Cardona selling his speedo). Bring back things like the WTF Figure of the Week. I will say that the PowerTown updates are amusing to me not necessarily with what they say but with how worked up they get over it. Legit laughed at the “You mother fvcking son of a Beeee!” story.

Yeah the wtf segment was fun. The thing is no one can take away from cardona’s knowledge. He has arguably unparalleled knowledge from collecting as a kid, confining through teen years, to getting into the industry and having seen and been behind the scenes to starting his own toy lines. I don’t know anyone else that well rounded. And 50% of the time he’s fine, but when he’s not… It’s like longfellows come to life lol

I think Mark is great, Brian is great, and Cardona is mostly cool. I also think it's great they are putting their money with their mouth is and making figures.
I'm looking forward to seeing how the JJ and Pillman Bendies come out

For those who missed it the pod did a fun history of the bendies vid and Myers has done a little update to it on YouTube.
If you don’t like people opening very rare figs skip the Myers update lol (not spoiling anything because it’s in the title) but if that doesn’t bother you it’s a nice little supplementary video.

With Jazwares lineups leaking and contracts coming up in the nearish future, I’m worried we won’t be getting a 7” Colt Cabana. That makes me a little more interested in his bendie figure (I refuse to buy his spam abomination).
If these were singles, I would definitely purchase it. However, as a set, I just can’t justify that. HMU if you are planning on buying the other three! Lol.

All those lineups were announced at the Double or Nothing Fanfest in March.

This line has suddenly gotten expensive with the b/w Danhausen and auto’d Flair.

That's what Flair's last match is all about -- the money. Wish we knew how many people actually drop $200 for this

Wish we knew how many people actually drop $200 for this I have no idea what Flair usually charges for an auto, but having seem some other "legends" prices the past couple of years, $200 for a an auto and limited figure might be a "bargain" to some. Which honestly kind of sucks, but I digress.

Gangrel is a great addition
Apart from that though and i’ve been incredibly positive about this line but some of the new signings and line ups are too indie heavy snd not those who should have had a but missed out - Chelsea, effy, gage etc - matt clearly likes doing figs of people he’s wrestled lol
To add to that $200 for the signed ric flair is a bit much imo

I wouldn’t drop £20 on that Flair, let alone £200. Yikes!

I know a lot of the bigger stars are starting to charge in that neighborhood for autos, but still seems like a lot. As for the lineups, I'm torn. So, post the all-Podcast guys lineup one, these have been the main series announced releases: My World: 95 Jeff Jarrett, 98 Jeff Jarrett, Conrad Thompson S2: Nic Gage, Danhausen, Brian Pillman, Adam Bomb, S3: Chelsea Green, Effie, Colt Cabana, Gangrel (W/Chase) That's a pretty even split between older wrestlers who fit the Bendem period (both Jarretts, Pillman, Adam Bomb, both Gangrels) and modern indie/pod people (Conrad, Gage, Danhausen, Effie). Cabana is kind of middle ground to me. Obviously he's newer than the bender era, but since he's been around and a (to wrestling fans) big name for 20 years, I don't think he really counts a modern guy either. The difference comes more with the one-offs IMO: -Flair Last Match Signed Limited Edition -Danhausen Pandora’s Box Repaint -Smart Mark AEW Repaint -Cardona and Myers Major Moment Repaints -Johnny Gargano Now, some of these have been way more limited than others, but overall every announced figure outside the mainline releases has been a modern figure (and I'm not sayin that's bad per say, Gargano is an immediate purchase for me for example) , which is why I think the line feels like it's skewing that way even if the technical regular series are pretty evenly split.
